I also want to express sincere gratitude for Patrick’s professionalism and hospitality. He truly makes guests feel welcome and taken care of, and you can tell how much he cares about the restaurant and the people who walk through the door. It’s clear he’s putting a lot of heart into keeping Carbonara moving in a great direction.
It was also such a relief and genuine excitement to see Alex back working there. Alex has always been fantastic, and having her back adds so much to the warm atmosphere that longtime guests love.
As someone who has been coming here for years, I’ll admit I was patiently waiting for things to turn around a bit—and it really looks like that’s well underway. The energy feels positive again, and it’s wonderful to see.
I also want to say how much I miss seeing Rafik there. He built something truly special, and his presence has always meant a lot to longtime guests like me. I hope he’s enjoying some very well-deserved relaxation and time away, knowing the place he created continues to bring people together.
Carbonara is still a gem, and I’m excited to keep coming back.
A huge shoutout to our waiter, who went above and beyond to ensure we had a fantastic evening. His attentive service and thoughtful suggestions made all the difference. We couldn’t have asked for a better place to celebrate such a milestone. We’re so glad we chose this gem for our anniversary! Highly recommend it to anyone looking for a memorable dining experience!
Last nights dinner for two before tip was $165. The steak was raw and sent back to the kitchen. When it returned it was still very undercooked. The server didn’t wait to have my bf check it for doneness and didn’t notice when boxing that it was the whole thing he was boxing up for him. Never saw a manager about the returned steak either. We waiting ridiculous time for drinks from the bar and my cappuccino with dessert was cool and bitter.
Utilizing the porch for a patio would be a great idea if they staffed it. The way you are treated however seems like they are just in it to get as much money as they can.
This was probably our last visit for a long time. Too expensive to be ignored.
We went to Carbonara Trattoria on a Tuesday for my birthday. It was surprisingly busy so we sat in the bar area at a high top table. The bartender was our server and he was understandably busy. He provided pretty good service based on this. We ordered three courses and wine. Spoiler*
only two courses made it to our table.
The salad came out quick and was good. The second, carbonara pasta, took a good 30/40 minutes to come out and was honestly way too salty. All during this time one of the owners was interacting with ONE table or 3 ladies or behind the bar chatting with another set of customers.
After another 30/40 MINUTES, the bartender came over to ask if we would like dessert. We tokd him we ordered one more course, which seemed to take him by surprise. After going to the kitchen he came back and said it would be out shortly. Clearly he forgot to put it in (ok, mistakes happen). 10/15 min later my husband stood up btwn the table and bar waiting for the bartender. We couldn’t stay if it was not out very soon. At this point we had been there an hour and a half.
The owner was right there socializing. He looked up briefly at my husband but offered no assistance. Bartender finally came back and We let him know we could not wait. He kindly offered a dessert to go.
At the register the owner removed the entree that never came. We paid the bill he came out from behind the bar. I assumed he was coming over to our table. Nope. Went to the three ladies across from us with a bottle of wine and actually started having some with them.
To say I was disappointed is an understatement. I had been looking forward to this restaurant and it made for a terrible Birthday. $80 + a 20% tip.
The daily specials are culinary delights and the Seafood, muscles,Bronzino, and Salmon are the best if you’re not in the mood for filet mignon, which is my favorite.
I asked for a cocktail menu and was told that they had a full bar. As a person who doesn’t typically drink, it wasn’t helpful to not have a menu to choose from so I ended up not ordering anything.
Service was both exceptional and lacking at the same time for us. We had a waiter who was very attentive and even friendly to other tables. However, he was less attentive with us though we sat closest to the entry point of the outdoor space so he had to walk by us every time he came in and out. We had to ask multiple times for refills, more bread, our check and often times waited long enough to stare at an empty table until he notices us (long waits between our appetizers until our entrees arrived). The bus boys however, were great, super professional and honestly served us more than our waiter did.
Atmosphere-wise, I think if we sat inside it would’ve been nice. We were sat outside but not at the restaurant’s designated patio space which seemed like a nice setting. It would have been fine except the space we were put in definitely felt like a makeshift area in front of the next door’s sidewalk. Felt a little like sitting in someone’s driveway.
