I have driven past this place many times during my travels for work.
This time was different… We were in the area to get our Christmas tree and we made it a point to finally stop and try this place for breakfast.
The service was good, although it would’ve been nice to have somebody come by and top off/reheat my coffee. Other than that, we were seated promptly and everyone was friendly.
I had a western omelette and was happy that I was not asked if I wanted cheese on it – of course I do.
Wife had something called Route 66 omelette, although she did make a substitution (mushrooms instead of bacon) so it wasn’t exactly as is originally designed.
We both enjoyed our omelettes. Wife commented on how fresh the eggs tasted.
There is a gluten-free portion of the menu.
Overall, we were very happy with our decision to go here, and I will certainly come back here in the future. I am seeing a cheeseburger in my future…

Size doesn’t matter!
Small place with big flavors. They’re always busy, you’re likely to see a friend in there, and, as pictured, they aren’t afraid to customize (breakfast sandwich with 2 eggs, bacon, sausage, AND home made hash….delicious).

What a wonderful place to stop and have a great breakfast. The inside is nice and clean the staff is nice and was right there to take care of us. The place was full and we still had our food on the table in 10 minutes. The food was delicious you can tell they care. There was two of us and we still got out for less than $25.00 including the tip. Talking to the staff we found out the they been in business for 28 years in Portland. I highly recommend it.

Eggs Up continues to be the best breakfast place in town. The food is always excellent and they have a great variety on their menu along with good specials. The only downside is that it is a very small restaurant and seating is very limited. During peak times there will usually not be a table free and you may have to wait a while until there is one available. If the crowd waiting is outside the door, you may be better off just finding somewhere else to go unfortunately.

Great little greasy spoon! Service was immediate, food came out in like 5 minutes, everything was delicious, reasonable prices, and oh yeah, their bathroom has the good toilet paper! Nice place to take the family!

I’ve passed by this place a hundred times while working on the road. Im always in a rush, never had a chance to stop. Last week, I finally got a chance. I ordered takeout corned beef hash. The server gave me free cup of coffee while I was waiting for my food. They got me in and out of there in under ten minutes even though the place was full. Hash with eggs and toast for under ten bucks, it’s a big W on my book these days. I will definitely return.

We had a lovely Christmas Eve breakfast at Eggs Up! I have celiac and they had a gluten free menu with GF bread that was toasted in a separate toaster. We enjoyed our meals and absolutely loved the speciality coffees! I got a peppermint mocha and my brother-in-law got the chocolate chip cookie dough coffee. Service was excellent, too. We will be back!
