ThaINery – International Food Court is located on the corner of Bush and Kearny streets and in the heart of FD which is an affordable, authentic Thai and tasty place “lo major de mejores” and the only survivor of this once always packed popular lunch joint [*Lee’s Kitchen, French-Vietnamese Pho, Pao Jao Dumpling & Ramen, Pushkin, Taqueria Estrella and Bibim Soul Bunsik Korean Street Food are all gone together with very short-lived “Katsuya” and “Yucatown.”]
My all-year round favorite dish at the ThaiNery is tasty eggplant tofu over rice $15 (used to be $10) which imhv is a delicious, affordable and “safe bet” ingredients wise. The owners are a middle-aged sliding young couple originally from Thailand and several cooks currently and in the past are Yucatecos who have appreciated how to cook authentic Thai through “combat experience” with an attitude to learn, improve and master.
Support our backbone mom-and-pop shops as we ordinary citizens can make a difference and leave big shot businesses to the wealthy elite & politicians such as the food court which is a silhouette in of The City’s economy in “reality check” (*not wishful thinking of so-called “rebound”). [Sabes que? “Tanto tienes tanto vales.” The Mid-market is literally dying{Emporium/San Francisco Centre is dead. Period.} so is South Market while Chinatown, Union Square/Downtown, North Beach and many other neighborhood commercial strips such as Richmond (Balboa, Clement, Geary) Mission (16th to 30th), Castro, Haight-Ashbury, Sunset (Irving, Judah {9th & 43rd}, Noriega, Taraval), Bernal/Excelsior (Cortland, Persia, Geneva), Noe Valley, Glen Park, Ocean, Parkside, San Bruno, Paul, West Portal, etc. are merely struggling except Japantown and Stonestown are arguably just returning to normal.] ⚠️Under the circumstances, fasten up your seatbelt & save your for rainy day!

Vegetarian perspective

Was craving some Thai basil and came to this place on a whim. It’s downstairs in a basement level international food court, how cool! Menu offered chicken Thai basil and I asked if they could make me a tofu one, and they said no problem. Made to order with spice level too. It was out quickly and was soo flavorful! Perfect portion for lunch. It’s a good hall, so seating is casual, but that worked for me.

This is a Hidden Gem in San Francisco!!! Truly authentic Thai Food.
Don’t let the looks fool you! We almost turned around, and oh we are glad we stayed. This restaurant is located in a tiny food plaza that’s a little outdated, but that’s the only thing I’ll say “bad” about this place. We wish we lived here to come visit them as often as we could…
We ordered a Pad Thai, a Chicken Noodle Soup, and Fried Chicken Fried Rice (this one is on the side wall, not on the main menu) and we Loved it!!!
Sorry for the late photos of the food (took them as we were finishing), I wasn’t planning on doing a review since I’m traveling with the whole family gang. Go and enjoy the food, Thank me Later!

OMG!!! I tried this place for the first time and I was amazed. First off the service is so good very welcoming and friendly. Second, the food are so good I got the Fried chicken fried rice – rice is so flavorful and chicken is so crunchy and take note they make your order fresh. I also got the pork stew noodle soup It is good but its a lil bit sweet or maybe savory for me but i know if u add soysauce or sriracha it will be better. Over all I highly recommended this place and definitely will come back again. I was having a hard time to decide what im gonna get bcause they have a lot of selection. 5 star for this place my new thai spot glad that i found this place! This is located underground in Kearny St International food court
Thainery for the win!! And the best part they give you FREE Thai ice coffee or thai tea when u spend $25

Ps: the lady in the picture is very nice great customer service

This is my favorite Thai food in SF! Actually, I just looked up on Google Map to see what Thai food I can have at a decent price in SF. I walked into the food court, and try Thainery. I ordered pad kee mao for the first time, and it was very delicious!

And I ordered lunch specials of Thai basil chicken (with rice and egg rolls) and added a mini tum yum veggie soup for the second time. The basil chicken was very delicious but it’s a little sweet ( I can accept the flavor). The soup was sour enough and was not so spicy, so l liked them both.

And I definitely will come back again.

Picked up my MealPal lunch and it was quite tasty. Slightly spicy and a good lunch portion. This shop is in a basement food court which you will need to take steps down to from the street
