So I’m traveling from Orlando to Jacksonville and had to stop to feed a starving family. It was fast food everywhere and we were about to settle for trash when in the abyss I found Tres Leches Cafe. My lactose intolerant wife was worried the menu was drenched in milk but I knew better. The name is a tribute to the delicious dessert. When I took one look at the mix of Cuban, Puerto Rican and Mexican cuisine I knew I was in for a treat. That was an understatement. This place is a hidden gem and absolute BANGER of a restaurant. Had to try dishes from all three cultures. I ordered a Cubano, churrasco con mofongo and the shrimp fajitas with rice, black beans and yucca fries as sides. Let me tell you everything was certified fresh. Perfect cooked skirt steak, moist delicious flavorful mofongo, huge jumbo shrimp and sizzling veggies, hefty Cuban sandwich with enough carne to satisfy your hunger. Everything was on point and slammin. I’m glad I trusted my instincts when the trio of cultures caught my eye because the food was amazing.. I wanted to order everything on the menu after tasting my food as the seasoning was hitting on every bite. The service was friendly, prompt and efficient. The location was nice and clean. The residents of Ormond Beach are fortunate to have this place. It will absolutely bring me back for another meal. 5 Big Stars.

I cannot even begin to tell you how wonderful this place is. We live in Saint Augustine and pass about five other Cuban restaurants to get to this one. Well worth the drive. Run, don’t walk to this place. The Cuban sandwich is out of this world. So are the yucca cheese bites, the croquettas and you better leave room for tres leches or take it to go. This place is THE BEST.

Don’t normally eat out at places like this but circumstances called for it. Walkable from the loves truck stop across the street. Vegetarian burrito was ok. Better with the spicy sauce they give you. Iced coffee was surprisingly better than expected. Lady at the counter was very kind. Was accommodating in allowing me to charge phone behind counter. Will be back if ever in the area again and need food.

Tres Leches Cafe is a great find right off I-95—perfect for a quick yet quality stop that’s far better than chain fast food. While driving home from Orlando, we ordered online and our food was hot, fresh, and ready right on time. The cafe was spotless, the staff genuinely friendly, and the entire process was seamless. Convenient location, tasty food, and warm service make this a spot we’ll happily revisit on our next trip through.

Vacationing to Florida and this spot popped up! So glad we stopped! Not only is the place so friendly but Leo made us feel like home! Not to mention the delicious food! Have passed by several times and finally stopped to eat…if I only knew what I’d been missing. We had breakfast and it didn’t disappoint. Chorizo & eggs were spot on, not too spicy or greasy. Ham & cheese breakfast was excellent and I can’t say enough about the rice & beans!!!
Will definitely be back and hopefully the word gets out!
