Some of, if not the best BBQ you will ever eat. Just great quality all the way around. It’s consistently great and the owner is one of the most humble people you never even know you encountered.
The brisket has a great smoke flavor with excellent bark and perfectly rendered fat. The sausages are just great, and they offer special flavors that are brilliant. The smoked turkey is perfect, I don’t know that I will Ever make a turkey again with this being available locally.
The staff is friendly and makes every effort to ensure that you enjoy the experience, but honestly, the food alone does that, and the friendly atmosphere is just icing on a fantastic cake already. Depending on your timing, there may be at wait at the front of they may be out what you really wanted to try… just order something else off their great menu and I assure you it is worth the wait. There is a reason repeat customers arrive consistently.

The kitchen service was very fast and convenient. The menu was very easy to read. The crew members were very friendly, helpful, attentive, and knowledgeable. The business was very clean. The food was accurate, hot and delicious; the pulled pork was nice and the Hatch Mac and cheese was great. I had the blueberry cobbler which was just ok because instead of cobbler it had some kind of bready thing on top. Overall, It was a very good experience. I will return.

Came here during their soft opening, Food Heaven!! The Que here is. Comparable in pricing to other locations if you want great BBQ it’s going to cost, and your money here is well spent, you can tell that food quality, cooking quality is #1 here. My favorite was the brisket, the meat was so juicy and tender, the ribs were really good good sized and meaty, the sausage was crisp and had a nice crunch when biting into it, the birria tacos were also good,just wish the consome had more flavor, not sure what chillies they are using, also the BBQ sauce was very watery, I prefer a stick to your meat type, but the flavour was out of this world, I was literally eating it with a spoon. Since this was a soft opening some menu items were missing, I will come back to try the Texas Twinkies, the Mexican Street corn. Oh forgot to mention also had as a side the Hatch green chili Mac and cheese, this was very tasty, but do wish I had more green chillies in it,but it was a cheesy heaven (And I am not a Mac and cheese eater) but this was good. All in all a great addition to our Little Elm area.

First off, get the Birria tacos!
We ordered the El Hefe + tacos because we had to try it all and I’m so happy we did.
Special shout-outs: The brown sugar rub on the perfectly smoked pork ribs, the savory consume’ dipping sauce for the Birria tacos, and the perfect pulled pork.
The sleeper: the Tater Tot casserole! (Suggested by Josh who helped us with our order)
I am so happy Hurtado opened this location! There is tons of seating, plenty of parking, and the service is top notch!

The bartender Josh was an amazing host and great to talk to. We were told to order a Milanese taco which isn’t on the menu. When we got there, they had no idea what I was talking about so I ordered the brisket birria taco which was good. Disappointing not to get the other one. We had the ribs (a little dry), Texas twinkies (supposed to have brisket but couldn’t tell), brisket (a little dry), and bacon burnt ends (amazing flavor but largely on the fatty side).

The food was ok, it was under seasoned. Beef ribs were ok and the sausage was mediocre. The person at the register didn’t seem like she wanted to be there and was not sure of what all they were serving that day (zero customer service). I’ll come back again to give them a second chance but it’s not a place I’d tell someone it’s a great BBQ joint you must go and try it. The BBQ sauce was ok but it did add flavor to the meats.

I’m a long-time customer of the Arlington location and the second Hurtado maintains that same high level of quality. My friend was a first timer, so he got the meat tray and was blown away.
I figured I’d try something new and went with the nachos. A decision I now regret. It has ruined all other nachos for me forever because no other nachos will never be that good again. I’m glad I tried them.
You can’t go wrong. Everything on the menu is pretty dang tasty.

We used to make the drive to the Arlington location for the food, it’s that good. we are thrilled to have you guys closer here in Little Elm. We’ve been twice already and this will definitely be a regular place for us. We’ve loved everything we have tried so far and are excited to try the rest of the menu. Even my picking kid LOVES it! Great job on the new restaurant guys, you hit it out of the ballpark.

Everything we tried was fantastic. The brisket is one of our all time favorites. We have been to the Arlington location and this was our second time at Little Elm. My daughter chose this as her going away to college dinner and that is saying something, she loves good BBQ. The birria tacos are delicious and we bought extra to take home. The hamburger we all split and it got rave reviews too. The tostado was something different to try but wow it was off the charts. Who would have thought to add bbq to a tostado? Last but not least the giant stuffed potato, wow! The kale slaw, mac and cheese and the potato salad finished off all the food we tried. If you haven’t tried this place, you should

The meat we had was great. That is the only reason we aren’t giving it one star.
The restaurant was very messy. The sauce bottles were covered in sticky sauce. The drink prep counter was stained and messy. The utensil dispenser was empty so they just put an open box of forks beside it instead of refilling it. The salt and pepper shakers were dirty. Even the walls were scuffed and dirty.
The only person that spoke to us was the cashier. She seemed nice but everyone else seemed annoyed. Several employees were just standing around chatting and on their phones the entire time.
