The service was good but bit slow. We waited for the food and apps. The place was not crowded as it was Monday night. The dessert was delicious. Burger was average. Huge but not very tasty. I loved the scallops as appetizer. The fries were bit oily and tasted fryer oil.

We came here on a Monday night. They weren’t crazy busy. We enjoyed everything. For drinks we got Duke’s martini with gin and a French 75. The martini was smaller than I expected but cold and strong. Just what I wanted. We had the steelhead tartare and scallops for starters. Both were excellent. The scallops especially were deliciously buttery and garlicky. We shared the cast iron fillet. It came out perfectly pink with wonderful charred bits on the edges. The caramelized onion topping was a good addition. With the steak we had the bib lettuce salad. It was a whole head of lettuce lightly dressed with a tangy dressing. A nice counter balance to the richness of the steak. Both of our desserts were rich and tasty. The pear Mille feuille was refreshing and light. Toffee pudding sticky and rich. We enjoyed both. Service was attentive and pleasant. Ambiance is old world elegance and soft lighting. A beauty space to relax and share foods with family or friends.

My first impression was very upscale fine dining, beautiful atmosphere. We got sat very quickly so h a reservation but didn’t see the server Ruben for atleast 5-10 mins even when it was a Monday and not busy. Throughout the night we had to flag him down multiple times and didn’t even get checked in on after our meal came out. Only thing that was different is you don’t get sides, you have to purchase those separately, and for the sides I got (creamy spinach – which had a strange kick to it & the mash & gravy- which truthfully tasted instant) was definitely not worth the $14 each. But if you have a table for 2 they are easily shareable. Now the one thing I will say is the Steaks HANDS DOWN is worth the $. I got a 8oz filet (and a very cheap person) and won’t mind paying $73 for that again! Very delicious! And if you wanna get a quick dessert togo they have beautiful made “Polos” which are chocolates that melts in your mouth. Which a box of 8 is $25 and well worth it. Overall a table of two getting an appetizer (6 natural oysters) , 2 steaks (12 oz ribeye & 8 oz filet) some bread and 2 sides and those amazing chocolates came out to be $262.05. Overall I would definitely go again but only get steak and dessert!

Came here for restaurant week and wow, what a great dinner! Options were great, food was absolutely delicious and the staff were incredible!! Gisselle was our server – she was super knowledgeable, personable and kind!! Jenny was also great behind the bar, gave us good recs and made us great drinks!! Cannot wait to come back to try some other options! I had the rump & side,
Mac n cheese, bacon, smoked salmon, sticky toffee pudding and peanut butter dessert. Would def recommend all of it!!

My son and I came in Friday February 28th for the 5-6 happy hour. Berto was our waiter. He throughly went over the menu and gave me ideas for another visit. He was perfect the way he came by not to much, but enough to let us know he was there for anything we needed. I told the wife and a few friends of the restaurant, but definitely his service. While this was first time coming, it’s definitely not the last. I just hope Berto is there.

I made dinner reservations for four people (business meeting) and I was embarrassed for choosing this restaurant. We do not agree with the advertisement of “best steaks in town.”. Two of us ordered ribeyes and they were overcooked (dry) and barely warm. The peppercorn sauce was not flavorful. The oysters were a good appetizer. The side portions were small – the hashbrowns were good but definitely not enough to share. We had cocktails – they were slow serving them and were mediocre small drinks (I have had lemon drop martinis in many places and this was the worst I have ever had). The highlight of the evening was dessert – the toffee pudding was delicious! Our server was attentive. The ambience was nice but it was pretty loud and made it difficult to have a good conversation. The Hawksmoor was a let down as we only had one evening to enjoy a good meal in the city. I didn’t take pics of everything we had.

Outstanding experience. Great, classic Chicago ambience (sunken floor, brick walls, wood paneling and discreet cozy lighting.). Excellent steak menu; the steak-after-eight for $25 may be the best steak-frites deal ever. Not to be missed amongst the starters is the bone marrow, and the Sloppy Joe Yorkshire pudding. And for desert the sticky toffee pudding is superb. Retire to the elegant bar upstairs for cocktails after dinner to make the evening complete.

A fantastic dining experience. Our server, Alex was very attentive and kind. We both got the Sunday roast and it was absolutely delightful. The portion sizes are good. Thr prices are fair for the amount and quality of the food. This is a place you should definitely check out. The sticky toffee pudding was really tasty and the pavlova was amazing with a fantastic lemon flavor.

Went here for my wife’s birthday with 4 people in our party. Services was terrible. It took 15 minutes for the server to stop by and another 15 to even get our drinks once they were ordered. I enjoyed the Chateaubriand I shared with my mother. It was not really hot but the taste was solid. My son ordered a strip steak and it was chewy, stringy and tough. He left half of it because it was gristle. My wife’s ribeye was just okay and not really flavorful. Our side of mashed potatoes was ice cold and it took our waiter a long time to come and check on us after the food server dropped off our meal. It took another 20 minutes to get a new one and by the time it arrived (still not warm mind you) we were already done eating. For spending over $450 at a steakhouse I expect MUCH better service, bigger side portions, and higher quality cuts of steak. The first time we went here we enjoyed the apps and had an okay experience but after this visit we never return. I know they are a big chain but Capital Grill or Morton’s always have great service service and food so that’s where we are headed next time.

This amazing place has good food and spectacular staff.. if you can get “Julian” you’re in for a treat.. he has great recommendations and knows the best dishes. Ask for him and let the games begin!! We tried a ton of things and was able to mix it up while sampling the best they have with some great wine pairings thanks to the two sommeliers they have on staff!!!
