You ever had food so good you start questioning life and every restaurant with similar food that failed you? This was it, even after an hr of finishing my food I was still thinking about everything. Probably one of the best sauces Ive ever had and the tacos would give California tacos a run for its money or to shame. I got the charizo(not a fan, but surprisingly exceeded my expectations), beef tongue, pork belly, birria and pork, all well seasoned. The service was exceptionally fast even while there were enough people to keep them busy. Definitely a must try/go/stop by if you’re passing through for whatever reason. If only they had shrimp or fish options for tacos as well, unless I missed it. Location sucks, but food makes up for it plus the taco truck with tented overhead, tables and chairs outside really screams street taco with the authentic feel as if you were in any Latin America country stopping on the side of a busy street by a food stand. You got all kinds of people coming here just to get a piece of this place. Cant say enough about it. Go grab yours!

FOOD: Taco was great but small, they are street taco size, recommend they use 2 tortillas, as mine fell apart while eating it.

Quesadilla is more like a meat burrito because of the flour tortilla. I know it said lettuce tomato and avocado and I thought that would be on the side, not inside of it. Because the tomato, lettuce and avocado are in it, the tortilla is not as flat as your traditional quesadilla I hope that makes sense. Also it’s not cheesy like traditional quesadillas normally are.

They also do not sell carnitas, for pork they only have el pastor.

SERVICE: There was a short line, but that’s always a good thing when it comes to an eatery.

LOCATION: directly behind the Shell gas station. There is a small street right before the Shell gas station that you can make a right turn into and then a quick left. I missed it twice using two separate GPS programs. Their sign is not visible from the street, you do not see it unless you’re looking beyond the gas pumpsthrough at the gas station.

I would recommend getting an A-frame sign and they can put it at the corner.

Amazing tacos! We tried the pork belly, beef tongue, chicken, al pastor, and chorizo; every single one was delicious. My personal favorites were the chorizo and beef tongue; both were packed with flavor and cooked perfectly. The watermelon juice was insanely good; super refreshing and fresh. Prices are incredible for the quality, and honestly, this is some of the best food I’ve had in a long time. Highly recommend!

I was told to go here from a local and she raved about how fresh, homemade & delicious this hidden gem is & she was right, it was phenomenal!!

It’s food trucks but they are permanent & really nice. They have tables and chairs out under a nicely treed area with colorful flags for decor & fun lively music playing.
It’s a better atmosphere than I thought it would be. They’ve done a nice job.

Their food is so delicious, fresh, homemade & nice portions. I had a birria & steak picata style tacos & my hubby had a birria taco as well. The meat portion is substantial and perfect savory flavors. Their homemade corn tortillas are so delicious and we bought a 10 pack to go for only $2. We also had a side of beans which were nicely done as well.

I love that they have their homemade salsas along with pico, pickled onions & horseradish for you to add on yourself or put in little to go containers. I loved their green & red sauce that were in the bottles, full of flavor and a medium spice. The pickled onions were pretty spicy and not as much pickled but still really good on my tacos.

The tacos are $4 & is you want steak or birria, it’s 50 more cents. And if you want flour tortillas it’s 50 more cents. Their homemade corn is the bomb so no need for flour there! They had quesadillas for $8 and burritos for a little more than that. They also had platters. Great choices and I would go once a week if I lived here.

They had very kind customer service and people constantly flowing in for to go orders and eating there as well. It was 3 in the afternoon so a lot busier than I would think but that just shows how delicious this place is.

Delicious burritos and tacos. I usually order the lengua or pastor, and they’re consistently excellent. One of my favorite things about this place, aside from the food, is the variety of sauces, which are incredibly good. This is the spot I recommend to anyone looking for great Mexican food in Pensacola

IYKYK! Great value and excellent flavor! They know how to make a street tacos! I have not had anything else here but if it’s anything like the tacos you will NOT be disappointed! You can order online or walk up. Plenty of parking around the location. Go get your taco on! There’s some site seating and community style. Don’t let the fact that it sits behind a gas station deter you!

A local, family friendly taco truck, that has soon become a personal favorite! El Asador has become a staple taco tuesday destination during my time in Pensacola. The tacos, burritos, torta, and the delicious freshly grilled meats have brought a new flavor profile to my palette. I would go down to pensacola just to have my favorite Burrito Campechano! An amazing place with authentic flavors and amazing salsa is a must try if you are in the area!
