The exterior and the surroundings belie the quality of food served at this restaurant. From outside it is unassuming and might even miss when you drive by. However, the food is authentic, homemade quality. The veggie combo was a delight. Highly recommend the place. Will certainly return.

We ordered the lamb, Awazi Tibs (beef), and Dorho Chicken dish. The Injera was absolutely delectable and spongy absorbing all the savory flavors of the stews. The vegetables and beans are also a great accompaniment.
This place is a hidden gem in the middle of Indianapolis. The restaurant is clean and filled with colors that resonates in the spirit of the owners, bright and cheerful.

Went in with a couple of friends for lunch. Ordered a few lamb and beef entrees which came out in a large pan served over injera. The flavors were authentic and delectable. We finished off with some clay pot coffee which was exquisite and tasty. Will definitely revisit them is gem of a place in the future!

The best Ethiopian food in the world is served by the kindest people in a tiny, unexpected spot you might drive right past. The owners treat every person who walks in the door like family, making you feel completely at ease even if it’s your first time. The food is mind-blowing—every single dish is packed with flavor. And the coffee? It’s not just a drink; it’s an art form. They roast the beans from scratch, making it the most aromatic and delicious coffee you’ll ever have. This place is a true gem and a must-visit.”

Not at all fancy, just go for the food. The menu is not extensive, but Lete will give you authentic, home-style Eritrean dishes with no pretensions. As you should expect, the menu is very vegetarian-friendly, while still having tasty meat dishes for the omnivores among us. The spice level can be adjusted, so even if you can’t really handle the “normal” levels for Eritrean/Ethiopian cuisine, you can thoroughly enjoy your meal.
I’ll definitely be back.

Delicious food and lovely vibes. I highly recommend getting the coffee it is quite an experience. You get popcorn with it and you can burn incense as well. I also am very glad they serve bottled water and not tap water like many restaurants do. The veg combo i believe I got genuinely exceeded my expectations in how good everything tasted and I already expected it to be quite good. If you’re looking for some healthy yummy food to share with friends in a chill environment this is definitely the place to go 🙂
