We visited twice during our stay at a nearby cabin on the Suwanee river. The view and service were both fantastic. The fresh fish and shrimp were some of the very best I have had at a restaurant in years! The appetizers were delicious we had crab fingers and jalapeño poppers one night and calamari and jalapeño poppers the next. Our waitress (McKenzie, I think that was her name) was very attentive and pleasant she was exceptional! We will definitely come back again!

First time visiting and it won’t be our last! We stopped in for lunch on a Saturday while working down the road. We asked Becky what we should order, and she said “everything!”, and she wasn’t wrong.
I had the Fisherman’s Platter blackened, which came with two shrimp skewers, a crab cake, bay scallops, and a grouper filet. When the plate arrived, I couldn’t believe the generous portion, easily the best value you’ll find in Florida at $29. It also came with two hush puppies and two sides. I chose the okra and cheese grits, both excellent.
My husband ordered the fried grouper sandwich and loved it. It was lightly fried, not over-battered, and full of flavor.
The views were incredible, right on Salt Creek. There’s an outdoor patio and tiki bar we’ll definitely have to try next time. Becky made us feel like family and truly made our visit special.
Our only regret? That it took us this long to visit!

If you want fresh food, great atmosphere and part of a family. This is the place. Variety of different entrees on the menu from seafood to burgers, staff were friendly and welcoming. Full bar off to the right. And restaurant and separate room. You could definitely tell there was a lot of locals that visit this restaurant whereas the next closest one is about 30 miles. Everything is clean, freshly made in the tables are small to large, welcoming larger crowds, highly recommend

Great place for great food. Took the FJR 1300es out for a ride and looking for some great roads for riding. Wow found it and this great gem of a restaurant. Left from High Springs and went out CR 340 west. Will be back.

Down-home seafood restaurant. Off season, and apparently well-supported by locals. Salt Creek is the only restaurant in Suwanee (FL Gulf Coast); otherwise it’s a 20 mile drive to nearby Old Town, FL. Its not Joe Stone Crab in Miami, but it’s clean, spacious, impressive outside seating (overlooking canal), with a super-long bar. Service was superb, prices were reasonable and portions are generous. I started with garden salad, which was crisp and refreshing. Having had seafood the previous evening, I opted for the chopped steak w/brown gravy, mushrooms and onions. Served with garlic toast and fries on the side. The chopped steak, not to sound overly flattering, but this was one of the best I’ve had. Perfectly cooked, tender, juicy and sooo flavorful. Surprisingly great. The gravy, w/mushrooms, and onions were a perfect pairing. Fried were crispy and not oily. Garlic toast was terrific. Simply excellent. My guest had the smoked mullet dip and a bowl of clam chowder. He praised both dishes, asserting each were amongst the best he’s ever had. Highly recommended.

Valentines Day 2026 was the worst dinning experience I have ever had. We had a party of 25 and reservations for 5:30. This is how it went for our foursome. Arrived at 5:00 and ordered Fried pickles and hot crab dip for appetizers. Pickles came out quick, the hot crab dip took 1 1/2 hours. Around that time the salads arrived. Two hours in and finally 3 steak specials and my burger came. Burger was cold and the were no condiments on the table. Never got the onion rings and didn’t eat the burger. Steak was ok with three sprigs of asparagus and very small scoop of instant mashed potatoes. Dessert never came. For $38.00 a plate we expected more. The place was packed and so loud you could hardly talk to each other. The staff and kitchen were overwhelmed and it showed. Seen the food and the menu. Food and drinks are over priced in my opinion. They seem to get good reviews, but sorry Salt Creek, never again. Not even on a slow day.

This is a very nice restaurant in Suwannee Florida. The service was great and the view was beautiful. I had the grilled grouper and it was so good. Everyone in our party was very happy with the food. It’s worth the drive to Salt Creek.

We had a great meal. Shrimp was grilled just right. Love the hush puppies enough that I got an extra order. Key Lime pie was the best I have ever enjoyed. Sorry, but I didn’t get a photo.

We’ve been here twice during our stay in Florida and were happy with everything both times. The food was delicious and wait staff friendly and on top of their game. 1st time, we had the chowder and seafood platter and shared. 2nd time we had the chowder, husband had the fried oyster plate, and I had seafood platter with 2/3 left to take home (which was the plan). Both times, we shared a “slap your mama cake” (lava cake with ice cream, whipped cream, chocolate sauce and cherry on top).
