I’m so pissed .. each egg foo young patty was burnt . It messed the entire dish up. I got special egg foo young with plain fried rice .. when opened the box I saw that each patty was burnt. I mixed it in with my plain fried rice , thinking it wouldn’t be too bad .. HELL NO.. the whole dish tasted burnt.

Delicious food, built for carryout, but they have a couple tables. I got the St Paul special. It was delicious. Can’t wait to go back here.

Crab rangoon, fried rice and egg rolls are incredible and very well priced! My husband and I both ate for $18 with plenty of leftovers! Highly recommend if you are in the STL area. I only wish we could have eaten inside because we were staying in a hotel 30 mins away so we ate in our car. So be ready to take it to go!

I went here and saw that had so much clutter on there tables the customers could t sit down.so I left. Fast forward: saw a review Remrod done and was like like me go head and go back. My st Paul was dry even with the mayo on there– no seasoning on the sandwich no onions nothing– just 2 pickles and shriveled up lettuce that didn’t look like lettuce.the crab rangoons in the middle was on point— FIRE* but the outside was stale not crispy at all– so stale it was like a chewy stale. The boneless chicken combination platter supposedto have sauce– it was more like a thick gel in which u could see gel formation. The chicken was extra hard under the gel in which after a few bites could not be eaten* mind over matter).the rice was legit but they didn’t put my extra green onion and I pick the chicken out the rice cause it had lots fat.i like my chicken well done in my rice.. we also spent 3.50 on chicken kabob and it had good flavor but tasted undercooked and nothing but fat. Would I go again…NOPE.

I live out of state, so I haven’t been to Chong Wah in 20 years. I was on my way to Fulton, Missouri and had to make a pit stop in St. Louis to get me some fried rice at my old stomping ground. Ooo, wee, was my Special Fried Rice delicious! I couldn’t even get back on the road! I devoured the box in my lap in the parking lot! Only thing different was that they have individual red pepper packets in plastic instead of the hand-creased and folded parchment paper. I miss those little nostalgic packets. Thanks for some great food and great memories.

Holy cow the price was good. My family of 4 paid $33 and had enough food for 2 meals each. The rangoons, egg rolls, and fried rice are as good as I’ve ever had. I’d never had a St. Paul’s sandwich before, so Chong Wah’s was my first. It was delicious, huge, and only $5! The General Tso’s was slightly less flavorful than I was expecting (my wife loved it though), but nothing a complementary little soy sauce and chili seasoning couldn’t fix. The texture of the chicken was amazing too, super crispy.

Plan on carrying out whatever you order. The lobby is really small and full of stuff, so there’s not much room to sit and eat. But if you’re looking for carryout, this place is top notch.

This place was recommended by 3 completely different people today as the best Chinese in the area. One person pointed out the beef and broccoli which I ordered. It truly was superb with hints of ingredients that only a passionate chef could pull off. The Saint Paul was indeed the best I ever had. Finally, the typical St Louis style fried rice was just alright. The service was very fast and the lovely lady was very friendly and patient. It should be noted that it is a cash only place.

As an actual chef I get at times you get what you pay for but this right here wasn’t worth a penny this was nasty. It was bland oversaturated with sauces that were unnecessary not one pepper, onion, or anything was uniformed and they put tomatoes on my Saint Paul really who put tomatoes on Saint Paul’s the best thing I tasted so far was a crab raccoon. You really gotta change the cash only thing it’s 2025. You’re not gonna last especially when the food is mediocre. Oh, by the way, you should never use a raw chicken box to put peoples food in when I come to pick it up that’s just unsanitary

The worst Chinese I have ever had in my life. It was nasty and not edible. The braise chicken was plain crust, the rice tasted like a sharpie marker. The orange chicken was not edible and the crab Rangoon was spoiled or something…. I do not recommend

Was craving some noodles so I randomly stopped here and ended up having a cheap, good meal. I didn’t know it was cash only but I had 5 bucks so I got noodles and pork. I was a quarter short but they said it was ok, which was very nice. Ended up with a generous serving of pork and noodles in a tasty broth and couldn’t be more satisfied.
