Egg rolls were not so good. Server was not very observant when I arrived she served two parties before even acknowledging me. Tabletop were sticky. I had the egg rolls ($4.95) veggie lo mein Noodles minus the tofu ($12.95) and a coke ($2.95). I would not order the egg rolls again. The lo mein was delicious but was not heated evenly. They were playing a religious radio station. I ate Solo on Saturday 2/14/26 at 2:55pm.

We LOVE this place! Anytime we are through Lamar, we have to eat here! It is the best American Chinese around for a good while. The lomein took the cake today. A wonderful chewy noodle with a nice savory flavor and a finish of black pepper. You will be hard pressed to find better.

I love Happy Garden! It’s the best place in town for Chinese food. Eric is my favorite server in Lamar. He so sweet and my kids think he’s the greatest. Too many dishes to name that are wonderful! Try everything!!

This is a GEM of a place. The waitress is great and so kind. The food was fresh and absolutely delicious. The meat is very tender and a lot of it in the dish. The sauces are excellent. Our only regret is that we don’t live anywhere near here! We had the dinner portion of Combo fried rice and Chicken, peppers and onions.

Very friendly, prompt service. Clean restaurant with clean bathrooms. I ate here for lunch while on a road trip. I was in and out quickly, feeling satisfied and rested. They even put my water in a cup for the road.
The Kung Pao chicken was delicious! Fresh veggies with delicious sauce. It was prepared perfectly. The whole meal came out to $8.50 including the tax.

My daughter and I got the orange chicken said it was to have spice to it but i didnt think so. But that was the only thing i can complain about. It was very good!! Defiantly would come back. Brought us a small leaf salad with our drinks and had good service.
