Opened in June 2024, Sushi Nami – Metairie offers a contemporary take on Japanese cuisine. Diners can choose between an upscale all-you-can-eat menu or savor a la carte selections in a premium atmosphere. Along with our all-you-can-eat sushi, we offer a 3,000 sq ft private event room perfect for weddings, business meetings, parties, and celebrations. Equipped with a projector and flexible seating.

Sushi Nami was excellent. I was with a large group of 11 on a busy Friday night, and we were able to get a table within 40 minutes. Our server was great (practically at our table the entirety of our all you can eat extravaganza), accommodating anything we needed. I’m definitely coming back here.

Sushi Nami is the best all-you-can-eat sushi spot!!!!
I have gone for both lunch and dinner. There are a few differences between menue options but worth it for either choice. Lunch is $23 and dinner is $34. The drink options for dinner include 1 alcoholic beverage and lunch is just soft drinks/tea.
The service is really great and you can ask them to add multiple servings to an order. The restaurant is beautiful! Full of cherry blossoms and is just nice to be in.
The specialty rolls are fantastic! The ice-cream is also really great. All of the appetizer, tempera, teriyaki, fried rice, noodle, soup and salad options are great. So lots of options if you have a none fish eater with you.
You can easily get your money’s worth! I will be going back for all of my sushi cravings!

I went with a friend a week ago for the AYCE lunch and it was DELICIOUS!!! I can’t wait to go back and try more of their menu. I’ve been trying local(ish) AYCE sushi restaurants and so far this is the best! I would (and do) definitely recommend.
**Update to add: went again a couple weeks later for dinner, and it was phenomenal. My dad and I had a great time, our server (Renee) was incredibly kind, the service was super fast, and the Spicy Girl and Fleur de Lis Rolls were the best we’ve tried so far!!! I cannot stop thinking about it & can’t wait to go back.

The food was absolutely delicious, fresh, and beautifully presented. The atmosphere was cozy and relaxing, and the music made everything even more enjoyable. We felt so happy and completely satisfied with everything the food, the service, and the overall vibe.

The food was prepared very well and tasted great! The decorations and designs were really nice inside and out. The only thing I will say is that the lighting could’ve been a little dimmer, but it’s not a big deal. The service was okay… Our waitress was just a little rushy when she came to our table. We got the all you can eat option for $34.99 each, and it is well worth the money. You not only get all you can eat on the food, but you also have the option of a small house sake, your first cold drink/soft drink, or a wine option, I believe. It was just my girlfriend and me… We both got the small house sake, which is a very decent amount, and she also got a lemon drop. At the end of the night, when the check came, all of that only amounted to $87-$88. Now, heed my warning… Each serving is a very fair amount of sushi and very filling. They did put a policy in place to maintain mindful ordering and minimize wasted food by adding an additional $15.99 charge for every pound of food not finished, so be careful how much you order. My advice is to order slowly, little by little. I definitely recommend trying this place out!

Although the overall atmosphere and food is a solid 4 stars, what made our visit especially exemplary was our lovely server Kourtlyn! She literally was eager and excited to make us feel right at home, share some of her favorite items on the menu, offer suggestions and was very knowledgeable and fast.
We never waited for anything, she was on top of things bringing our drink refills when needed, and always smiling. One of the best personalities I have seen from the service industry in a long time, and more can learn from her.
All the menu items that we ordered were delicious, fresh, and perfectly portioned. The prices are very fair for the quality of food and service that you can expect. We had the sashimi sampler or trio trifecta I believe it’s called and the tuna, both DIVINE!!! They have a wide array of drink selections as well, so definitely try some specialty cocktails if they are advertising any that day. They also have an all-you-can-eat option in addition to ordering straight from the menu, which is a wonderful value.
The location is also right in the heart of Metairie off of veterans so it’s a perfect place to sneak in while you’re shopping. Parking is touch and go, as it is a very busy area, but we didn’t have any problems.
I highly recommend asking for Kourtlyn if she’s working, because she will exceed your expectations. Our bill was $80 and we tipped 30, to give an idea.

The food was great, and the environment was both cool and clean. Our server was fantastic, and while she initially took notes, she stopped after a while, which led to some confusion and missed items. I asked around, and it seems this is a common issue when dining here. You really shouldn’t have the servers memorize orders, especially when it comes to multiple sushi rolls in an all-you-can-eat setting. Providing servers with consistent note-taking tools or offering guests a checklist could help streamline the process. It’s an excellent spot, but improving order accuracy would make the experience even better.

Wonderful server by the name of Michelle was very nice, pleasant, and thorough. Since it was my first time here she explained the menu. Not only did she explain the menu- added suggestions! ( I asked for them) and she kept it real!!! I gave the food a 4 star because it could use a little bit of seasoning. I had the “Dinner Ayce” it was well worth the cost. See pics!
