Great Hibachi experience. Friendly and fun service. You can sit in the bar area and order drinks and apps if there is a wait. Family friendly environment, good for small parties. Food was delicious, I ordered the onion soup, grilled veggies and veggie roll. I will return and would recommend Sakura.

Ordered 3 steak kids meals, 2 sushi rolls, and Ichiban… Total $175.00

I understand that prices have increased and the photo of a menu online might be before Covid, but going from $14.25 to $25 per kids meal is a bit ridiculous… roughly 75% increase. If we just estimated total cost from the menus online vs today, it was $80 to now $175 for our meal.

By the way when I asked for the total, the person couldn’t give it to me since she would need to ring it up in the system. I think someone should be able to give some kind of estimate or a cost of each item as they taking the order.

The picture is the $25 kids meal (not including the white rice).

Bonus, if you pay in credit card they charge a fee.

By the way, the food wasn’t anything special. It was decent and I know take out doesn’t do it justice but still wasn’t anything I care to order again.

This use to be my go to place (new years eve, valentine’s day etc). My husband and I went Saturday night 11/12 for a date night, special treat. We were already seated with another couple. The waitress had already brought us drinks, soups and salads and our orders on the board in the back for next chef available to cook for us. The hostess decided to seat another couple at our table last minute. This wouldn’t be a problem but the lady in that party had a list of allergies one being soy. She wanted just plain shrimp and plain rice. Why didn’t they make her food at a separate grill? They did not!! So all of our food had no soy sauce no butters or extra seasonings. If I’m going to pay $5.75 for a bowl of fried rice it better be tasty. So we ate our bland food and left. We have attempted to report this to the manager and to the owners with no response. It was my son’s favorite restaurant and I hate to tell my son (under 10) we will no longer be returning to his favorite restaurant.

We (4 of us) traveled an hour to get there to have dinner before our experience at the Dent Schoolhouse. We arrived around 6pm and were told that since we didn’t have reservations (I didn’t see anything on the website about making them), it would be 7pm before we could be seated with another group. We were worried that we might not make our 8pm time with Dent, so we opted to leave. We were encouraged to go to the bar area instead. We ordered 3 cheeseburgers with fries, a chicken quesadilla, and 2 sushi rolls that took well over 45 minutes to get. The bar area was not crowded. We almost got up to leave, but that’s finally when our food was brought out. The food was just ok. Certainly not what we had been looking forward to. Disappointed for sure.

Really enjoy this place. The food and drink were really good. The prices were pretty reasonable for a Hibachi Grill. Always recommend to make reservation, especially for parties four or more. Please know that if you don’t have enough members to fill the table they will fill it with other diners.

It was absolutely fantastic as far as food goes! Our chef wasn’t quite as entertaining as some we have experienced in the past, but the food was wonderful! Perfectly seasoned and prepared! We called at 8:15pm to see if a reservation was available and we were able to be seated with 4 other people for 9pm dinner on Friday night.

Arrived around 6 p.m waited over 2 hours before chef even started cooking. Additionally the whole place cleared completely out by 8:15 pm and chef never came to start cooking until 8:30 on. Food is overpriced, Hibachi chef was rude and was overall unpleasant to be around. At one point he stated “Our table is too picky and too hard,” when we just stated we wanted no mushrooms and no onions, when the chef asked our preference on them which is NOT a hard request. The hibachi chef went on to disrespect and belittle everyone at the table including a couple seated across from my wife and I and my mother in law. We were offered a free drink for our troubles, which in retrospect seemed like this issue has happened before by how quick they were to offer it. Terrible experience overall, Hibachi chef was male and older possibly 50-60s but was disrespectful and needs to be addressed and investigated internally in hopes nobody else gets treated like garbage while just trying to enjoy a dining experience. WILL NOT BE RETURNING, DO NOT RECOMMEND TO ANYONE. Go to east-gate for a great hibachi experience not here.
This occurred Monday, August 21st between 5-9 p.m

We had our ladies Christmas get together here. When we first walked in there was a sign on the door about dress code. However, the servers and hostess were wearing yoga pants and one server had on a shirt that didn’t even cover her stomach all the way, so you were able to see skin. There were only two hibachi grills in use when we arrived, leaving four open, but we had to wait for 25 minutes to be seated I’m not sure if the sushi bar was operational, as the lights were out over that area. One person in our party asked how much a Yeungling cost. She was told $3.50/$4. When the bill arrived, it was $5.75. The person pointed it out, to help the server know for the future, but she snidely commented back, “I don’t have all the prices memorized, so it is what it is.”
The atmosphere felt dead. I personally will not be returning to this restaurant.
