I recently visited El Torazo Mexican Restaurant and ordered the Brutto Bowl with al pastor — and wow, it was absolutely delicious! The meat was perfectly seasoned, juicy, and full of authentic flavor. The ingredients were fresh, the portions were generous, and everything was well balanced. You can really taste the quality and care in the food. The atmosphere was welcoming, and the service was friendly and fast. Definitely coming back to try more items on the menu. Highly recommend this place if you’re craving real Mexican flavor!

I like their daily specials and that they are open late nights. I tried their asada fries which is a good price but they put nacho cheese and the items on the side. I look forward to trying something else

I’ve tried their 2 vegan tacos and their vegan burrito and both were amazing! Highly highly suggest! I hope they never get rid of these options, there are so few places around here. Drive thru is especially convenient! I didn’t expect to like the mango salsa but it was so so good!

Had dinner at El Torazo in Santa Ana—it’s more of a Mexican fast-food style spot. The meat was flavorful, which was a plus, but the portion sizes felt pretty underwhelming, especially for a place in a predominantly Mexican neighborhood where you usually get more food for a better price. I’ve had better-tasting meals with larger servings at other nearby spots, so overall it didn’t quite live up to expectations.

I grabbed a bite at this Mexican restaurant and let me tell you I wasn’t disappointed. The vibe was super cool, the staff are super polite too. The food was delicious, especially the birria tacos and consomé was fire. Highly recommend those tacos at this spot.

I have a friend who’s vegan. He really enjoyed his vegan burrito with extra black beans. My tacos were hard shell with beef. Juicy tomatoes. Crunchy Shell. Tender beef. Love the salsas here!

The food is decent but I was mostly impressed by how clean and organized the establishment is in regards to their workers, dining area and restrooms. Very friendly staff, highly recommend!

My wife were in the area at night and we saw their sign that proudly stated “voted best tacos.” My wife is a taco enthusiast so we went to try them out. We split the quesotaco plate. 2 asada tacos and 1 birria. The total was $14 and change. Not gonna lie definitely some good tacos. Portions were good for the price and they were delicious. The salsa had a king taco flair to it which I love. We knew we had to come back again. We’ll i was back in the are during lunch and I thought I’d stop by again. This time I got the asada burrito and 1 birria quesotaco for $16 bucks and change. It was lackluster. Definitely smaller portioned and it had a chunk of gushy meat that wasn’t even asada. Pretty gross. Gonna give this place another go but at night because this might have been a staff issue. They would have definitely gotten 5 stars had the morning crew not dropped the ball.

This location was formerly known as Lickity Splitz, and it used to be my favorite spot when I was a kid. I often got a banana split or chili cheese fries and played basketball at Thompson Park across the street. Unfortunately, Lickity Splitz closed down years ago, and El Torazo, a Mexican restaurant with a unique twist on Mexican cuisine, replaced it.

I have visited this place many times and always go for their tacos because they are large and full of flavor. Today, I dropped by for a quick snack as I wasn’t very hungry but needed something to keep me going through the afternoon. It was around 1 pm on a Wednesday, and a few customers in the restaurant appeared to be employees taking their lunch break. I ordered a small drink with a Mexican Taco Al pastor, which totaled around $8 with a tip. I ordered only one because I remembered they were big, and two tacos would have been too much for me. My taco took about 5 minutes to prepare and bring to my table.

When my taco arrived, I was surprised that it was a standard tortilla size but filled with al pastor meat. One thing I like about this place is that all their tortillas are handmade, giving the food an authentic Mexican flavor. The al pastor meat was perfectly cooked and flavorful, and the tortilla was hot and freshly made. Even though it was a regular-sized taco, it was pretty filling because of the thick tortillas and generous meat filling.

In conclusion, I will keep coming back to El Torazo. They offer excellent customer service and serve delicious, flavorful food that carries on the tradition of my childhood favorite restaurant, Lickity Spliz.

Selena was very helpful and patient as my mom and I were first timers and were not familiar with the menu. She gave some recommendations and the place is nice and clean! Food was 10/10 God bless!
