I’ve been asking for a speakeasy bar for years this place finally pulled it off. Special nights of music comedy and their series called Mixology where they do themed. Style five course meals with drink pairings in a major city. This would be a $500 night but in Bartlesville, you can do it for 75 bucks which is crazy the style atmosphere vibe is 10 out of 10.

Went there for their Valentine special. This was our first time there. I was hoping for a special dinner but it was a flop. When we arrived there were plenty of empty tables, but we were seated at a tiny table in a corner where you felt confined and looking into a wall. The Valentine special was you paid for the package meal for two. I should have known something wasn’t right when they wouldn’t list the main course options until you get there. And I tried. For Valentine’s Day, one would expect great options, but it looked liked the picked the cheapest meals from The Palace Room (where all the food came from ). Get this, for the special meal your options were pasta meals or a hamburger. Nothing says special like a Valentine hamburger. I asked since the meals were coming from the Palace Room anyway, if I could get something from their menu. I was told no substitutions. My wife ordered the chicken and fettuccine with a lemon butter sauce. The lemon was so overbearing that she couldn’t eat it. My meals was a lackluster as well. Wait staff was no where around to check on us. We sat there for a long time before the waitress. We told her that the chicken fettuccine was no good due to the excessive lemon flavor. She just stood there and didn’t act like she should even say anything. Most are food was still on the table when we left. I will definitely never go back there or the Palace room. I find locals overrate the restaurants in town. One because there’s no real competition and secondly, they know the owner and they’re rating their friendship and not the establishment itself. If this was in Tulsa, it wouldn’t last. Too many good options there.

Had a great Valentines Day dinner. They were busy so things were running a bit behind, but the food was great, the people, the music, the room – just a great night. The hi-tech speakeasy entrance was a nice plus.

And you HAVE TO try the chocolate cake!
