This is my favorite bar ever. I live in the neighborhood and have been coming here for five years, I can’t imagine spending my time (or money) anywhere else! The servers are amazing, bartenders are friendly, and the food is the best I’ve had at a bar thus far. The activities they host throughout the week bring in people from the neighborhood, but also you see a lot of people who used to live here and love the Tuesday and Wednesday night games that they come even after they’ve moved away. This place gives me a sense of community and it also gives me a nice place to call my second home.

We had THE BEST time here!! In town from Minnesota and looking for somewhere to watch the early game, we called this place on a whim to see if they would be playing it. They called us back a few minutes later and said they had it, which was so nice to get a call back. Our server (I think named Byron?) was so fun and kind, and made the experience great for us. The drinks were solid and the atmosphere was great for watching the game. He even made some purple shots for us! The food was decent, but the service and atmosphere made the experience incredible for us. Thank you so much for a great time – we hope to be back someday!!

I want to like this place—between the patio, regular live music, and the fun, inviting atmosphere inside, it should be a go to. But more often than not, it’s a letdown and I leave disappointed. The food itself is good and consistently solid, but the service is mediocre at best and usually inattentive. On top of that, they tack on an extra charge for credit cards and the prices feel way too high for the vibe you’re getting. It’s a shame, because with a few simple fixes this could easily be a spot I’d come back to often.

The food was ok. I had the fried chicken sandwich, but made it to a biscuit. The biscuit was kinda dry and hard. I’m not really sure if they actually have a dog menu, but our server told us they can cook some meat patty for our dog. The rest of the food was just ordinary.

So I came to this fine establishment today. It was an amazing college football atmosphere. The service and drinks were great. They do heavy (country club pour). I will be returning to The Family Dog.

I live next door and come here a lot. I would give the food a solid 3.5, it’s your typical bar food. My boyfriend LOVES the bacon jam burger. During specials they won’t let you order off the regular menu (brunch/taco Tuesday) and that is annoying. Also never have a good server. always waiting for refills, the check, etc.
