First time visiting Thai Basil restaurant in downtown New Port Richey. We were in the area and decided to try their food for lunch. My husband and I ordered the Tofu appetizer and 2 lunch entrees which came with a wonderful salad and soup which we thoroughly enjoyed. The two entrees we shared were both Chef Specials – Hurricane Chicken and Two Friend Panang with both chicken and shrimp. Both dishes were amazing, fresh and delicious. BTW: the rice came out in a lovely heart shape with each dish. Do not hesitate to try this wonderful restaurant.

This is our favorite Thai restaurant. If you’re looking for authentic Thai food you should consider coming to this family owned restaurant. The dishes all look great with a great variety. The prices are affordable and the service is always great when we go. You won’t be disappointed with this restaurant.

Very traditional atmosphere, and great variety in the menu. The flavors were definitely present and not overwhelming.
Great spot for someone trying Thai food for the first time. The meat was fresh, the ingredients were delectable, and the desserts were outstanding.
My only concern is how early they close, but it seems to be the trend in the area since not too many people eat out late. If they stayed open till 10, I would eat there more often and so would many people that I know enjoy Asian cuisine.

I haven’t been here in a while but I used to come often with my Dad. Stopped in for dinner & it’s just as good as I remember it.
I am allergic to gluten so I am always attentive in asking if dishes are gluten free.
I tried the Amazing Eggplant dish & it truly is delicious. My Dad had the Pad Thai with Crispy chicken.
Suffice it to say we both were happily satiated!
