It’s my first time here. It’s very clean. The staff and customers were nice. The wait to be served at the bar was long but, to be fair…the bartender was alone and she did an awesome job!!!! Maybe, they were switching shifts.

Lovely local bar and eatery. We ordered wings, extra hot and honey hot, and also the buffalo chicken wrap and crispy chicken wrap. The food was delicious and we will definitely go back. Unfortunately there was only one person there and she was doing everything herself, so it was a bit slow. I must add that she was apologetic and super sweet.

Food was good, got a buffalo chicken salad and it was pretty good. Service was slacking. Waitress doesn’t want to be there. Meal was like $12 after tax. Gave her a $20 and she asked if I needed change. Never filled my water. Had me waiting forever to get my bill (literally purchased 4 appliances during my wait). Had a rbf the whole time with me. No thanks or nothing when I paid her or when I finally got my change. Threw the money on the table, no thank you. Probably sit at the bar next time. Bad bad bad service

Popped in here to grab some drinks and play pool while in town. Didn’t have time to stay for food, but some of the items coming out of the kitchen smelled great! Bartender was friendly as were the fellow patrons. Would absolutely stop in again next time in Newtown!

My friends and I had a disturbing experience at this bar that felt racially biased and completely unprofessional.
Two of us showed our IDs and were approved immediately. When my brown/Indian friend presented his valid ID, the bartender claimed he was “not the same person” because his face was “skinnier” and he no longer had a beard. She continued to reject his ID even after he showed multiple additional forms of identification, including older IDs and other cards with his name (even a AAA card), and implied he was using someone else’s identity.
We have all known each other for years, are all over 21, and even went to high school together. The reasoning given: that someone isn’t the same person because they currently have a beard felt rooted in racial stereotyping and was offensive. The implication that a brown or Indian person must look a certain way made the situation especially uncomfortable.
Checking IDs is one thing, but making assumptions based on appearance and treating people inconsistently is unacceptable. This experience left our group feeling disrespected, and management should seriously address staff training and bias.

Ordered wings. Menu price is 16.99 – bill charged 29.60 with no notice of price change. Spoke with owner Mary who’s response was sorry, the menu says (in small print at bottom) prices subject to change without notice. I would have never ordered $30 wings – especially when that’s at least $10 more than their highest priced entree. When we pointed out how deceptive it was to NOT notify customers of a 75% price increase she responded that she wouldn’t honor the menu price and that we don’t know what she’s been through with supply price increases. She also blamed the waitress and told us not to tip her. That isn’t acceptable – the waitress was not the problem and we definitely tipped her. She wouldn’t take the $10 off the bill but then suggested we take it off her waitress’s tip?! The food was decent but I wont be back.

Food was ok. Drinks were ok. Prices are fair, especially considering their location. Decor is classic drive bar. They do have every NFL game on a different TV so if you’re a fan of somebody other than the eagles you can see your team live. They also do free drinks during happy hour.

Been there three times. Horrible food, except for the pizza which is good. Poor beer selection if you don’t like IPAs and had flat cider 3 times in a row on separate visits. Waitress is always great. Music trivia is fun.

I’ve eaten here before and the food has been decent. This past Friday I picked up 3 pizzas as a takeout order for a work function. I unfortunately did not look in the boxes before I got back to work. The Brooklyn pie they sent out with me was completely burnt all the way around the crust. I think the thing I’m most upset about is that someone there thought this pie was acceptable enough to have a customer pay $17.99 for it and take it home to eat. Really Clubhouse??? About a quarter of the pie was eaten and the remainder was tossed because it was too burnt and hard to enjoy. When I called a few hours later to explain the situation and asked to come back in with the photo and my receipt the kitchen manager would only offer me a credit for my next visit. I work hard for my money and would rather the $17.99 back in my pocket. Food credit is not acceptable for me – especially since I won’t be back.

The Clubhouse Bar & Grill was really good. We had some sandwiches and appetizers and they were really good. They seems to be a little short staffed when we visited on a Sunday, but everyone was nice and we weren’t in a rush.
