The best chicken sandwich I’ve ever had.. If you like fried chicken or chicken pot pies, this is the place. My wife had the chicken pot pie and I had a Rocky’s chicken sandwich. Most tender and juicy chicken I have tasted. The owners no doubt put all their heart into the food. Great model for adding heat to the chicken as well. Wish this place was closer to home, we stopped while passing through Ashville. Amazing chicken!!!! Friendly service to boot!!

Me and my wife came from New Jersey on vacation, while in the area we googled a few places in this area, certainly stood out. When entering there were certainly a lot of people, but they managed to have everything flow properly. First step is ordering getting your table number and then be seated as they bring the food.
The quality of Hot Chicken is out of this world and probably the best I’ve had, the mac & cheese was absolutely stunning. The whole Vibes I got from this place was magical and you should definitely make this a trip for sure.

I love hot chicken and was so looking forward to Rocky’s. Unfortunately the chicken breast was bone dry. Good flavor and crispy but super dry. The thighs were much better. I’d also get one more spice level next time, the hot wasn’t that hot. The sides were the star of the show, the corn pudding and Mac n cheese were great! I’d also skip the waffle next time – it wasn’t good or bad but not worth the upcharge.

My husband really enjoyed the hot chicken and sides. The fried pickles were some of the best we’ve had. The chicken pot pie was good. We took banana pudding (very good) and Coca-Cola cake (very dry) to go. Service was great and the place was full!

We usually visit the Arden location. This location is dark and not set up as nicely. The food is still fantastic and that’s what matters. We love the tenders (medium has a slight kick but get them hot if you want them spicy) sweet potato casserole, corn pudding, fried green tomatoes and the chicken pot pie. Both the ranch and blue cheese are the best! We had fries this time and they were cold and hard. Normally they are good. We love Rocky’s and we stop in everytime We visit WNC.

Fantastic food. The hot chicken and honey chicken were amazing. Excellent & incredible sides. The best collards I’ve had in North Carolina. The location and the seating and the ambiance were awesome as well. I really like this place I will definitely be returning and recommending it to friends. (Was in town for work)

I ordered 2 chicken thighs medium with a side of mashed potatoes and coleslaw. The chicken thighs were delicious and fried to perfection – super juicy, skin crisp! If you are looking for spice though, I would definitely recommend picking the spicier range. Medium was barely hot at all. Even rocky’s hot (which i tried from my husband’s order) was very manageable.
Here you order first before taking a table so there’s still a line even at ~2pm, but it moves quickly and the food also comes out at a reasonable pace. Great chicken overall!

great service from both the order counter and the other team members. was nice enough to let me try the sour before i ordered it, and was helpful in our spice level choices. better than hattie b’s, dave’s hot chicken, and other similar chicken spots. really good fried okra and slaw sides. a few bites of the chicken itself were a bit on the drier side, but overall super flavorful, simple, and the perfect amount of spice. would definitely recommend for anyone who is a fan of hot chicken

Food: the food came out hot and fresh. The fried chicken thigh was good and not dry. The leg was huge but it didn’t taste all that great so I didn’t eat it all. The chicken sandwich was good and wasn’t dry. I picked the honey mild for the fried chicken and the chicken sandwich was medium. The have good flavors. The honey mild wasn’t spicy at all so those that don’t like spicy, you might like it.
