I asked a waitress, that turned out not to be the one for my table where I could get a cup of coffee, she was very rude to me and told me she was not m y waitress in a very rude voice.
I nor my travel friends will never eat at this establishment again on our visit to that area.
Let me back up a bit. This was my first experience at a country restaurant and it was absolutely incredible. Nice place, great staff, good food, well priced.
I opted for the buffet and everything was delicious. The reason to opt for the buffet was the desserts. Mmmmhmmmm!
Dienner’s Country Restaurant is an absolute must-visit!
We came, we saw, and… well, we definitely ate. And let me tell you, it was worth every single bite. The portions are generous, the flavors are incredible, and the food tastes just like a home-cooked meal from my childhood. From the first whiff when you walk in — that cozy, comforting aroma that instantly reminded me of my grandma’s house — to the last forkful, everything was pure deliciousness.
The selection on the buffet is amazing, with classics like tender roast beef, juicy fried chicken, and perfectly seasoned vegetables. And don’t even get me started on the mashed potatoes and gravy — absolute comfort food heaven!
And of course, you can’t leave without trying the all-you-can-eat pie. So many choices, and each one better than the last. It’s the perfect sweet ending to a meal that leaves both your belly and your heart full.
If you’re in Lancaster County and craving authentic, home-style cooking, Dienner’s Country Restaurant is the place to go. Friendly staff, warm atmosphere, and food that will keep you coming back again and again. Highly, highly recommend!
We opted to try the buffet and there was not a very large selection in comparison to others in the areas or even a regular chain buffet restaurant. The food was fresh and constantly refilled but was bland. The chicken soup was okay with some salt and pepper, the beets were good, and the beef tips and gravy were good. The biggest hit was the desserts.
Our biggest concern was with the chicken, two of the people in our group had very red chicken in the middle which was red so obviously undercooked. We told our waitress and she said “I’m sorry” and we suggested they pull it from the line so that others wouldn’t eat it, but they did not.
When we checked out, they asked us if everything was alright, and we told that lady the concern about the chicken. She said she would have the manager come out and speak with us about our concern. When she came back out, she said the manager said he cooked the chicken himself and that it was on the rotisserie for hours and then sat for another hour afterwards so is definitely done. We explained that we begged to differ since ours was bloody inside and we had showed it to our waitress. We also explained that the chicken may have still been undercooked or the rotisserie too crowded, etc. They only could just restate what the manager said. We told them, they should take that chicken from the line due to it’s potential to make people sick. We will not be back since there are others in the area with better food and better management.
