Really was looking forward to Wendy’s but I’ve gone multiple times already and been wildly disappointed every time.
Food is nowhere near up to the standards of Wendy’s.
Also I’ll mention that whoever designed this property/ parking lot/ drive thru line is awful at their job.

I had an amazing experience at Wendy’s during my first visit! The service was fast, friendly, and efficient from start to finish. The staff especially Gurpreet Singh greeted me with a smile and made sure my order was exactly right. I am so so SOOOOO happy we have a Wendy’s in Castlegar! It’s awesome, all the staff are amazing and helpful, I’ve never had a bad experience.
I come to this Wendy’s a few times a week lately, and I prefer to come inside to use the screens, and I have noticed a reoccurring issue.
The smell.
This Wendy’s is full of great staff, it’s visibly clean and tidy, but as soon as you enter there is an overwhelming smell of outhouse. Not of feces or sewage, but of hot bathroom air. It’s really unpleasant, and hard to trace, but the food and service is so good we keep coming back regardless. It is a consistent, unpleasant, and almost nauseating smell on certain days. It’s not coming from a specific place like the bathrooms or garbage cans, it’s just the whole building?
I hope that by saying this in the review it can be identified and fixed!

Awesome atmosphere. I went yesterday and did not find any bad smell. The food was amazing, and the staff behavior was very nice and friendly. I am totally impressed and really enjoyed my visit.

First day open, we decided to brave the drive-thru. Our order totaled $19 or so. Due to technical error, we were charged $49.79 instead and we didn’t notice until we were halfway home – going back to rectify it would’ve been another hour and stressful for both parties.
Came back the next day to discuss it. Restaurant was packed and drive-thru was spilling out to the intersection. Despite this, they apologized and everything was FULLY comped in cash – we just wanted the $40 back! I could not be more impressed with the friendliness and efficiency of the team. Thanks again, we will definitely be back!

Complete rip off!!! They are serving a 1 patty cheeseburger as a baconator!! They don’t know how their menu works. We ordered baconator’s, which is a 2 patty burger with 6 strips of bacon making it a 1/2lb burger … we got a single patty burger with 2 tiny strips of bacon… I seen in other reviews this is happening … so it’s definitely how they think the burger is supposed to be made… scam! They also forgot to include my 2 orders of chilli fries…Won’t go back!!! Don’t waste your money! Go to McDonalds!

EDIT; Ive been back to try again and wow I am impressed, people at the speaker that can understand you and really fast service this time, im actually shocked. Way to improve on what was really a disaster!
Took literally 30 minutes to get food in the drive thru, very slow service, the ordering speaker is placed far left of the screen
so you almost have to yell when ordering. Couldn’t use any coupons because their system “is slow today” cost an extra $4. Chicken wasn’t crispy as it is at other wendys, almost cold. Fries weren’t crispy either.
