First time at Ziggy’s on Oregon, WI. Only 16 minutes from Monona. Easier than going to west side of Madison. Sat outside on a beautiful day and had some great burgers. Will be going back for more bbq and ice cream ( 32 flavors ).

Cute place. Came for lunch so went up to the counter to order. Ziggy’s does a hybrid counter ordering system with table delivery. Kind of like Culver’s but with BBQ. One of the interesting aspects of this system is having to leave a tip before even tasting the food as the pay screen asks if you would like to leave a 15% or 20% tip. I took a guess at what the service would be like and hoped for the best with the food. The smoked chicken salad sandwich had an olive taste to it that one of my fellow dinners found off putting, only ate half of her sandwich and commented that the bread was the best part. I sampled the sandwich and it has a unique flavor. The other dinner and myself had the Memphis: a burger with smoked brisket on top, your choice of cheese and chips. It was ok and topping the sandwich with the hot BBQ sauce helped immensely. The burger was good but the brisket had very little flavor and was greasy. I upped my side to the steak fries and they too were ok. Service was fine. The counter/wait person made four trips to our table; once to bring our food, twice to check on us and to clear our plates when we were leaving. Ziggy’s is ok. I had heard from people about how great it was and guess I was expecting more then I got.

I’ve eaten at Ziggy’s a few times now and each time the service has been good, along with the food. The BBQ at Ziggy’s is very smoke heavy so those who are not a fan of smoke flavor and/or have a sensitivity may want to order something else. Good overall BBQ Spot. 4.0 (5.0)

Tried Ziggys for the first time Friday night. Extremely happy we did! Finally found a place close to home to get bbq. Wife and I both got the pulled pork sandwiches and were very pleased. Thick cut fries were very tasty. Liked that we got a extra cup of bbq sauce because I like to dip the meat that falls out! Definitely the best bbq in town and can’t wait to eat here again!

Well it is true…Ziggy’s is outstanding. Had the two meat combo with beans to include ribs and brisket…OMG. Never had ribs fall apart like at ziggy’s. So tender and the tangy Bbq sauce was the best! Service was spot on and efficient.
I even had the chance to talk to Ziggy himself and we talked about smoking meats and the different meats/ that I have smoked, albeit on an electric smoker and Ziggy was very helpful.
We had fried pickles for appettizers and they were great. Done differently than any other place I have had them and made in house. They were tangy and well breaded and tasty most if all.
For the low cost, and all the meats and sides I got, I could not finish was very delightful! Take home box here we come!
You cannot go wrong here with friendly staff, great service, awesome food, low prices and multiple beer or drink choices is a clear winner. I plan on going back as often as I can.

Excellent outside venue! Plenty of room, small bar area outside & food available. Ice cream shop inside, many flavors to choose from. 2 scoop Caramel Collision…it was delicious!

Had the Beef brisket on Texas toast, they make their own bread and smoke the brisket in house – very good taste with/without sauce – can’t wait to go back again

I cannot say enough good things about this place! I highly recommend this place for anytime but especially for catering any event! We got Ziggy’s catered for our wedding and it was so great. The owner, Ziggy himself, delivered the food and set everything up for us. Prior to our wedding, he even allowed us to come in and have a taste test of everything we were interested in. He made the process so easy and stress free. And the food, not the mention, is AMAZING! Please support Ziggy and his family and eat here! You won’t regret it 🙂

Got chicken strips with fries, chicken wings with Buffalo and pretzel bites with cheese.
The chicken strips were slightly dry and not crispy.
Fries were very undercooked and soggy.
Chicken wings had a flavor like they were reheated and had really dark bones.
Pretzel bites were unsalted and underwhelming
Atmosphere was bad and felt like I shouldn’t be there to pick up my food, there were employees yelling about personal matters and just general rudeness which made for an uncomfortable environment. I’ve been there a few times giving it a few chances and I’ve always been disappointed with the outcome. Makes you wonder how places like this stay in business.

All the food was extremely bland. The sauces weren’t any better; the best and most flavorful one was the mustard based sauce, and it just tasted of yellow mustard and sugar. The “hot” sauce isn’t remotely spicy and just tastes like ground cayenne pepper. The wait staff was weird.
If you want BBQ go anywhere else and I promise it will be better.
