Atmosphere: the seats and walls do not look like they have had any attention in a long time. We sat at a booth, and could feel the springs in the seat. The paint on the walls was chipped in some spots. The main dining room has a diner kind of feel, with some nice art and decorations on the walls. There was a tv with football on. The floors and seats were filthy, with old food crumbs. The table was clean but had no silverware. We just grabbed some off another empty table.
Service: our server was nice and essentially did her job fine. There were 2 waitresses working. She didn’t notice we didn’t have silverware nor asked us if we needed any. The menu said my meal came with desert, but she neglected to offer desert after my meal. I would have asked her about this, except by the time we were done with our meal i just wanted to leave. Otherwise, she was alright.
Food: it was cheap with large portions. However it tasted like it came out of a cafeteria. Very filling, but nothing special. I had the roast turkey. They started me off with bread rolls & a big bowl of soup. I’ll admit the soup was good. The turkey, gravy, mashed potatoes, & dressing was alright, but you can probably get better from a place like bakers square. My girlfriend’s gyro was fast food quality & fries slightly dry.
As we were finishing up, my girlfriend spotted a cock roach crawl over my seat behind me. I consider that absolutely unacceptable for a restaurant, hence we left without desert & felt sickened for having ate there.
