Notes from the Sweet Spot
We’ve eaten several times at this enjoyable neighborhood cafe. However, each time it’s always been breakfast, brunch or lunch, not dinner yet. The quiche is what I usually go for…Lorraine, Provençale or champignon…plus a butter croissant. The almond chocolate croissant is also deliciously rich. I’m grateful there is such a place in the neighborhood for cozy, friendly, and tasty meal!

This is a great bistro.
If you want to appreciate authentic food and Fren h cuisine this is the place to be.
Friendly staff add some zest to the patisserie and bakery.
Knowledgeable owners who love their business.
This is some of the best French cuisine I have tasted in the U.S.
(The photo here does small justice to the flavors and textures of the food.)

My wife and I went here at noon on a Saturday. We walked in and stood at the door, waiting to be seated. The place was about half full. There were three or four wait staff and two people behind the counter. All of them looked at us at least a few times. One of the waitresses with blonde hair sauntered by us to go a nearby table and take an order. She slowly walked back by us to go fill some waters. She walked back by us to bring the water to another table. She walked back by us to go talk to someone in the back of the room. The walked back by us to check her first table and finally said “I’ll be right with you”. She walked by us again to go back towards the kitchen. She came back and again walked by us. Everyone else was ignoring us. At this point we left. How was the food? Wouldn’t know. How was the service? From what we experienced, bad. Just sit us down at a damn table and have us wait there. If they are trying to seem pretentious, it’s working. I’ve been to France many times and they’re nothing like this.

Delicious sauce with crispy potatoes. The croissant was flaky and buttery paired with the jam just wow . A nice breakfast.

I have lived next door to this location for many years. My wife and I went in when they first opened and they were incredibly rude. After 8 years we chose to try again today and it did not go much better.

We waited 40 minutes for our food. Two sandwiches and a bowl of Pasole. The waitress was sweet and did her best and was at the mercy of the kitchen. We watched two other couples come in, sit down, order, eat and pay before we even received our food. The table next to us was not bussed the entire time we were there. The bathrooms were atrocious and did not have toilet paper or soap to clean up.

After receiving our food it came out cold and almost inedible. The pasole seemed as though it came straight out of the fridge and I could not even taste the chile.

I got the “Frenchy” which came out cold with zero cheese or other said ingredients. It only had mustard and chewy cold meat. It was terrible. My wife got the pesto chicken sandwich and it was edible but not great and came out cold as well.

I am really disappointed due to the people in the neighborhood talking about how good it is. This is the 2nd time we have been here and never had a good experience. Maybe they should stick to pastries and Croque Medam.

I will not go back to this restaurant and caution anyone who does to spend well earned money somewhere else. There are great places in the same area that have much higher quality of food and food service.

La Quiche Parisienne Bistro is absolutely outstanding. I lived in Europe for six years, and their pastries genuinely brought me back; flavors, textures, and quality that truly reminisce my time there. Everything tastes authentic, fresh, and thoughtfully made. It’s rare to find pastries like this outside of Europe, and they nailed it. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a real European café experience.

My spouse and I have eaten here 3 times (usually with friends) and will be back. The sandwiches, quiches, and pastries are all delicious! We usually buy a box of pastries to take home after brunch. We recommend buying pastries or baguettes to take home when you first arrive so they don’t run out of your favorites by the time you leave.

The only item that we’ve ordered that we didn’t care for was the breakfast casserole. It is priced higher than most other breakfast options, but doesn’t taste as good as the others — mostly because it is 80% potatoes. Skip this & go for a quiche, a croque madame or monsieur, or one of the other excellent choices.

BEST DESSERTS IN ALBUQUERQUE!
Bold sweet flavor & daringly colorful combinations. Bring an out of town friend, a loved one, anyone you want to impress! There’s a wide variety of entrees also. Everyone leaves with a smile. This is an especially wonderful place for a child’s birthday treat or a Daddy-daughter date!

Be prepared to go slightly over budget… Only because it’s too difficult to decide, so taste both and save the extra for later, hahaha!

LOCATION: Hidden quietly behind Smith’s Gas Station in a plain strip mall, La Quiche’s reputation still draws people in… Closed Monday & Tuesday. Debit card purchase option available, but if possible, bring cash.

Cozy space run by a French family with delicious buttery quiches and pastries. We shared the green chili quiche and almond croissant. Both my friend and I have lived in France, and we found the food very authentic. We loved that the staff greets you in French as well as the the little library of French books! Perfect for Francophiles.

We were just visiting from out of town but so glad we made a small detour to go here. Breakfast (Croissant with eggs and potatoes) was amazing. They make all their own pastries and bread. Really good cappuccinos and coffee too. Highly recommended. Kind of dreaming of those croissants now…
