The most authentic and down to earth experience you will have in Boston. Cash only. No formal menu, all from the memory of the amazing waiters. Almost anything can be made within reason, amazing Italian combos of various proteins, sauces, and hand made pastas. A ton of options to choose from, so you are bound to find something you will enjoy. BYOW/B. Even with a large party taking up half the dining area, the staff were personable and attentive. Food came out quicker than expected and every. single. dish. was amazing. The owner of the restaurant was coming around checking on tables striking up conversations, and you could feel the passion for the food in the space. Since there was no formal menu, you might expect prices to be a shock or surprise but everything is fairly priced at around 10-20 dollars for great portion sizes.
An absolute must try if you are in the area craving an authentic meal.

Nappi’s in Medford is a great little local Italian spot with a lot of character. There’s no written menu—they tell you what’s available verbally—which gives it a very old-school, neighborhood feel. It’s also BYOB, which is a huge plus—bring whatever you like.
The food was excellent across the board, clearly made with care and quality ingredients. Everything felt authentic and well done. We loved it there and would absolutely go back. Highly recommend if you’re looking for a cozy, no-frills Italian restaurant with great food.

Nice place and unique way of no printed menu. They tell you what they have for sauces, meats and pasta….. You pick one of each.
I had the chicken Parm which was ok but not amazing. My gf has shrimp carbonara which she feels did an excellent job. So our experience was mixed depending upon the dish.
I’d recommend you try it. It is cash only and BYOB.

Great little hidden gem. Cool experience because you can bring your own booze, and there is no formal menu to look at. The server lists everything they are serving. We had eggplant rollotini that was amazing and filled with cheese. Mussels were awesome. Chicken picatta was a Lil lemony but great. Fun place.

Cash-only, no menu, all available food read out loud to you by the waitress. A real local spot for quality Italian food, we came on a Friday night and it was pretty packed and rowdy so try to make a reservation.
The bread was delicious as well as the chicken parm with spaghetti. If you’re ever in the area and in the mood for home cooked Italian food, I would suggest Nappi’s.

We ate our mussels and mushrooms so quickly, we didn’t even think to get a photo. The chicken and veal parmigiana, bolognes sauce, and meatballs were all absolutely delicious! Loved that we could bring our own wine! Great service and never felt rushed.

Feels like stepping into nonna’s kitchen, an extension of your grandmother’s house 🙂 Down to earth, local hidden gem vibes for the win in the middle of Medford. They can make you almost anything, but I HIGHLY recommend getting the Joey shrimp appetizer and the pork chops with vinegar peppers dish (add sausage). Shrimp is so juicy and the tomatoes so fresh it’ll rock your world. And the pork is so satisfyingly mouthwatering and savory, especially if you like all things vinegar.
