At our Belleville, IL location, we are part of a historic seafood tradition. Captain D’s Seafood Restaurant first opened its doors back on August 15, 1969. A lot has changed since then, but our commitment to serving freshly prepared seafood at a great value has been our core mission from the beginning. Known originally as Mr. D’s Seafood and Hamburgers, Captain D’s was opened in Donelson, Tennessee. From the very start, we set out to provide quality seafood at reasonable prices, a concept that was revolutionary at the time.

The men’s restroom requires much needed attention. One toilet had poop left in the bowl and water was green. And toilet paper was completely out in the other stall. The floor could use a good sweeping and mopping also. But otherwise no other complaints
The employee working up front was very courteous. She listened and paid attention to my order. The food came out very quickly which was excellent. I will eventually be back again

If I could give negative stars I would. My fish was had and had burnt black stuff all over it. My Mac and cheese was crispy and gross and the fries I didn’t want were cold and hard I ordered green beans. They were apparently out of everything and didn’t tell me until I already paid. Then told me I couldn’t get a refund. And I didn’t receive any hush puppies. This store is on their past leg. It’s so gross there and the workers are always new and don’t know what they are doing. This restaurant gives real Captain Ds a bad name cuz this is gross!!! -10/10 do not recommend!!! Save ur money go buy real fish cooked to order at schnucks

I’ve been here many times over the past few years and have experienced most of what I’ve seen in other reviews pretty much every time. Long wait times despite ordering ahead, food not cooked through, visibly dirty baked potatoes, etc. I see the owner responding to the reviews but I’ve seen no evidence of improvement. I will not be going back until I see some specific info about big changes made here.

I did an online pick up order for 3 10pc family meals. My 6 sides were 4 mac n cheeses 1 fry 1 coleslaw. I got 3 of the 4 mac n cheeses so I paid a 3.99$ up charged for a side I didnt even get and this was AFTER the lady asked bow many was on the family meals. We have approx 15 pcs of the 30 I ordered that are burnt to a crisp. UNSATISFACTORY. 101. dollar order for 5 dollar food quality PATHETIC.

Ordered thru Uber Eats. Fish, hush puppies, mac & cheese and cheese cake were all excellent. I ordered cole slaw but received green beens that had something that looked like chunks of congealed meat in them. See photo.

I am sooo disappointed with my choice to patronize your restaurant today. I decided to buy dinner instead of having to cook for myself for Mother’s day. I paid for extra chicken and fish, and the chicken was smaller than the ones that came with the meal. The hush puppies were fried in old grease. There was no one in the line or anywhere near the restaurant when I got there. My meal should have been perfect, but it definitely wasn’t. For $30 I expected better.

Customer service by Tammie was excellent! Greeted us when we came in, very pleasant while taking our order, and checked on us after we received our food. Rare to see this type of service in the fast food industry. Our food was good and hot as well.

Customer service was pretty reasonable especially given the idea that the store is short handed. I tried the lobster rolls and wasn’t as much of a fan. That would a personal preference to the lobster mix being super cold but the bun being butter and warm. I would only change the mix to be warm. My total was under $8 so can’t really complain. The overall taste was better than I would have expected from Captain Ds.

I had not eaten at Captain D’s, in a Minute..But on Saturday January3,2024, my son and I both wanted fish from Captain D’s. The food was Good!! The fried clam’s were hitting on Good. And thank you so much for your Condiments and for having Napkins to go in our bag. For we are on a road trip out.. I will be visiting your place again!!! Grade, B+, And this grade also due to Condiments always being in Captain D’s bags, I mean always..
