Absolutely loved this restaurant. I’ve never tried Korean food and I had no idea what I was missing. We were a little overwhelmed by the menu as we have never tried any dishes before but our server Harsh was AMAZING, she gave us tips without making us feel silly for asking. I’m not sure the names of the dishes we had but both were so good!! We haven’t stopped talking about how perfectly cooked the meat was and how the spices complimented them perfectly…loved loved loved it..

The Positives (Food & Value): Where this establishment truly shines is on the plate. The food is delicious, offering a wide variety of options that cater to different tastes. The flavors are authentic and well-executed. Furthermore, the pricing is reasonable, offering great value for the quality and quantity of the food served. Based on the culinary experience alone, this would easily be a 4-star review.
The Severe Negatives (Ambiance, Hygiene, & Safety): Unfortunately, the dining experience was severely compromised by several critical issues that cannot be ignored.
1. Overpowering Unpleasant Odor: Upon entering, we were sitting close to the kitchen and washroom. We were greeted by a persistent and foul odor that permeated. The smell was unmistakably that of a poorly maintained restroom. My suspicions were confirmed when I visited the facility, which was found to be notoriously dirty and the clear source of the offensive smell. This is a fundamental hygiene failure.
2. Kitchen Smoke Breach: Throughout our meal, the distinct smell of cigarette smoke periodically wafted into the dining room, seemingly from the kitchen area. It was apparent that kitchen staff were taking smoke breaks, likely near a back door or vent, and the smell carried directly into the restaurant. This is highly unprofessional and a major violation of kitchen hygiene standards.
3. Unsafe Location: The restaurant is located in an area that feels decidedly unsafe, especially after dark. I was driving there evening but can’t imagine to walk there. I would strongly advise against walking to or from this location in the evening.
Conclusion: While the food itself is good-tier and the prices are great, I cannot in good conscience recommend this restaurant. The combination of the nauseating restroom odor, the intrusion of cigarette smoke, and the concerns about personal safety in the area completely ruined our appetite and overall experience. It’s a true shame, as the kitchen clearly has talent. However, until management addresses these severe operational and cleanliness issues, I will not be returning.

The food quality is very good and reasonably priced. Portions are decent and well presented. The bibimbap is excellent. It’s not a fancy restaurant, but you’ll always an get a good food as well as decent service most of the time!

After about a year of coming here regularly I figured I’d write a review.
Firstly, the service is amazing. The same waitress is always working, handling everyone’s orders no matter how busy (hard to get a seat on weekends). She is very attentive and accommodating.
The food is so great. The chef is korean, and every dish that we’ve tried has been enjoyable. The price of the food is very low for the great quality, it’s truly delicious.
I read some low reviews complaining about the restaurants ‘unsafe neighbourhood’- those people must live in gated communities lol, we felt completely safe leaving after dark.

Great little family restaurant!
The food is super fresh and delicious. You can literally see them cooking your meal in the kitchen! We love the fried chicken and soups!!! Great friendly staff. Very attentive and sweet 🙂 Highly recommend! It’s been a fave spot to visit for years now!

That place is in a major need of some TLC. I don’t want to shame the place but at least get some stationary seating. It’s not that bad but the area in general is not somewhere you want to be walking in a dark alley at night. It is worth going for the food. Some of it I probably would reorder but overall it’s a descent place for bbq and traditional Korean dishes. Wish there could have been more side dishes but whatever. The rice cakes be like stuck but was tasty

Ive been watching mukbang videos and wanted to try korean food so we went and had the jjajangmyeon and the bulgogi bibimbap and the pork kimbab and chive pancake. I wanted to try a little bit of everything and it was sooooo good. I didnt think I’d like kimchi but I did! It was so crisp and savory and complimented all the flavors. We ordered way too much food but it was inexpensive and an experience I will definitely be doing again. There’s more on that menu I need to try like the hot pot menu. They have an incredibly talented chef and the server was helpful, kind and very good at her job. I will be going there again and again. This location was very clean and quiet and a great spot for a date or a big group. Thank you so much!

Service is always attentive & friendly. The food is so delicious & flavourful. Will definitely be my go to spot anytime I’m in Hamilton & craving Korean food. Their sides are so yummy! I really like the added touch of the complimentary starter rice porridge & cream puff pastry for dessert.

Very good portion size for the Korean Fried Chicken! Very large boneless pieces with lots of great flavour (sweet and spicy). Possibly my favourite Korean Chicken in the area!
