We had a great experience at Mic Mac Bar & Grill. They offer clear options for people with food allergies, including gluten-free, dairy-free, soy-free, and paprika-free choices, which made me feel very comfortable and safe ordering.
The staff was extremely kind and attentive, knowledgeable about allergies, and willing to help with menu modifications. The food was delicious and well prepared.
The protein portions are reasonable, about 150–200 g per person in a combo, which felt appropriate and satisfying. We ordered a combo that included steak, lobster, and shrimp, along with potato, sweet potato, salad, and two beers, and the total was around $130 CAD, which we felt was a very fair price for the quality and variety.
Overall, great food, great service, and a very allergy-aware experience.
We 100% recommend Mic Mac Bar & Grill and would absolutely return.

Only get here every 2 or 3 years. Naturally it’s 2025…tomorrow is 2026…I’ve been hearing nothing but negative things. That’s just human nature. I autistic. My superpower is honesty, appreciation, and a mediocre schmeckel. It was every bit as good as I remember it. Not as cheap as it once was. But. Nothing is…. At least here you still get what you pay for. My favorite place to eat. I don’t drink at all. But I love meat! That’s right. I’ll drive meat down my throat any chance I get.
When restaurants want to freshen up. They burn the place down. These guys build a brand new place next to the other… Insurance didn’t pay for it. So somebody has too. They likely even paid their own money to knock the old place down…. That’s unheard of.

Amazing food that’s reasonable priced.
We went with another couple and loved their steak dinners and absolutely loved our fried scallops, the Thai Curry Mussels I was skeptical but was made a true believer. Strongly suggest you make reservations as this a true local hidden gem! Our waitress was amazing!

Went with a small group and had the sweetest waitress in the whole place. Unfortunately, I can’t remember their name but she was very friendly and bubbly. She checked on our group often and took care of us. The place was very nice and the food was really good. Everyone from our party enjoyed their meal. I had the Haddock and Fries and it was fantastic. There was a line up despite having reservations but that just tells you how popular this place is. Prices seem a bit more elevated with this new location but oh well. I had a wonderful time and throughly enjoyed the food and service. Make sure you try it here one of these days. Highly recommend.

Four of us had a great family meal while visiting Dartmouth and Halifax. Everyone had a different plate and all were impressed with our meals and the service was great. Its a large dining room yet still feels cozy.
My mom just wanted a great steak and she wasn’t disappointed. After 79 years around she said this was the best steak she’d had in decades!
Can’t wait to go back soon.

Had dinner tonight. It was very busy but was worth the wait. We had the steak and lobster dinner with pork ribs ends and a Cesar salad. Great value and quality for the price. We would definitely return. It was our last dinner for our trip to Halifax and it was the best for last. The steak came with a side. I chose the rice pilaf and mashed vegetables. Very tasty. Salad was very refreshing.

My husband and I visited this restaurant, not knowing too much about it as we’re visiting from Ontario for our honeymoon. The food was absolutely amazing!! The only thing better than the food was our incredible server, Kevin. He was attentive, kind, knowledgeable, funny, and made our experience one to remember. We went here for Easter supper. I gave 5 stars across the board even though we did have a 45 min wait for our table and 35 min wait for food – that’s to be expected during a Holiday.
I had the bbq chicken Burger and everyone else had the hot turkey. I thought the burger was excellent. Very juicy and flavorful. I got hot sauce on the side to dip.
Aside from the wait times, service was excellent. Our server was super friendly and checked in often.

The steak portions were incredibly generous, and the steak itself was perfectly cooked, so soft and delicious.
The atmosphere was welcoming, and the staff was friendly and attentive.
I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a great dining experience in Halifax.

I love the 24oz steak here, but I found the best time to order it is when supper time, I came to here ordering medium 24oz tip steak around 2pm instead of late night time. The steak’s sear was not as perfect as before. I think it might because the different chief cooking. Therefore I recommend ordering it during supper time.
