I wish I live nearby, for sure I’ll be the retuning customer every week.
I wanted to try or order lots of stuff from their menu but due to we’re on road trip and the destination was visiting and spend time one night with a friend that live literally 5 mins from this food truck. So I only got 3 items.
chicken satay and bakmi chicken.
For to go I ordered Nasi Padang (I was lucky at the time was Saturday so I can try it).
NasiPadang is the most popular platter in Indonesia, if you don’t like or can’t handle curry that contains coconut milk probably you want to stay away from this dish.
My husband love love love their chicken satay, even though he never had lontong (rice cake) before but he ate the whole container.
He said the peanuts sauce was really good.
So I had bakmi chicken, I really like it, there was lots of chicken in it. Great portions
Then the Nasi Padang I had it for dinner and I shared it with our friends that we were visiting.
They never had Indonesian food and they didn’t know that the food truck is 5 mins from their house until we told them.
They love everything that’s in Nasi Padang. They love spicy and I’m not joking they cleaned the plate completely with that my understanding is they really like the flavor of the food.
I’m glad I can share my experience to someone else.
Last thing, the couple that own this food truck is super humble amazing friendly people.
Definitely I can see that they put their hearts into the food that they make.
The seating situation is a bit trouble. But you can always order to go. They packed your food carefully and nicely.
I highly recommend to stop by and try the foods. You won’t regret it!
For dessert, martabak manis was thick, chewy, and filled with chocolate and peanuts—sweet and satisfying.
The food was rich, nostalgic, and full of character. It felt like a taste of home in an unexpected place, where every dish told a story and every bite made the breeze feel cooler (it was at the end of summer here).
There’s only a tiny handful of Indonesian Cuisines between Tampa and Sarasota and this one was an absolute pleasant surprise to discover! They are well known for their fresh Hibachi platter. I stopped here to find their authentic indonesian menu items – and that (no joke) brings my taste buds back home.
Satay Chicken – very tender, succulent and aromatic. This one is a must try and the highlight of my day. One bite and I can tell the chicken is well marinaded.
Nasi Padang – aromatic and deep flavors packed in a platter with rice, beef, and veggies. On a cool day like today this kept my tummy warm on my drive home. (Only available on weekends)
Bakmi Chicken – this noodle dish is umami and flavorful. This dish comes with a warm soup that compliments it well.
I look forward to visiting this spot again .
[P.S. sorry folks no photos uploaded – we were hungry and food was very satisfying, but will post next time ]
