Went in for a bite to take a break from our coastal road trip and very happy I found it! Huge portions, and the burgers, French Toast, and fries are really good. I included photos of the huge menu and the Monte Frisco (honestly gives more French toast sandwich than Monte.) Also have photo of classic burger and French dip.

Had the 8lb burger. Looked great. Unfortunately it was so under seasoned and bland it was pretty difficult to give a good effort. The bun was horrible thick and dense. I really wanted to like it, but there really was no care put into it . For $60 burger I’d hope for it to be seasoned properly. It was the same for everyone at the table. Salt just was not on point here. Fries…. Unfortunately we had the same issue as most people who attempt house fries. Please listen. If you’re going to make fries in house you need to drop the temp of the fryer to 250-300 and par blanch the fries. Let them cool, then kick the temp back up and fry them again. If you don’t do this you get limp underwhelming fries. If you read this try that you’ll see the amazing difference. But the service and atmosphere were great. Maybe get that same energy and care in the kitchen and figure out those fries, then you’ll have a memorable spot.

Great experience! The food is delicious and the portions are huge! You won’t leave hungry. My husband had the 3 pound burger, and it was massive, delicious, and a fun order. I had the taco burrito and it was the same, large, delicious, and so much flavor in one plate. I absolutely give a 5 star recommend to this restaurant. Wait staff is awesome, and very attentive. Be sure to check out the decor, there is lots of cool pics. Sports are broadcast on a large television at the counter seating area.

Their massive 3lb burgers are a fun challenge, and the 7lb Super Ultimate Monster Burger is a beast—enough to feed a big family! The clam chowder bread bowls are rich and soul-warming, and this time, with our kids in tow, we devoured the stuffed French toast, which was pure bliss. The menu is so vast you could try something new every day for a month and still not cover it all. Service is consistently amazing, with staff treating you like family. The atmosphere is cozy, unique, and full of charm, with portions so generous you’ll never leave hungry. This place is extra special to us as the spot of our first honeymoon dinner, and it easily ranks in my top 10 dining experiences ever. A true Newport staple that I can’t recommend enough!

First time to visit and we had a wonderful lunch. Food above 5 stars, Service was terrific, cool funky space felt like friends.
We both ordered from the senior menu and there was plenty of great food. I ordered Halibut and chips and a bowl of chowder which was a terrific portion and great food.

Great food. The oyster sandwich was a 10. Kids ate every bite. Crispy crinkle fries are amazing. Calamari was a solid 7. A good dipping sauce would help. Flaky breading was perfect. Met the owner. Super nice. Also great tartar sauce!!
