This is a great working man’s cafe. Its kinda hidden behind another business but when we came in, it was almost full. The food was great the staff was great. A good place to eat off the beaten path with reasonable working man’s wages.

Ive been to this restaurant 100 times and absolutely LOVE it! Today, however, was the first time I’ve ever seen banana pudding on the menu. When they brought me the bowl, I knew it was going to be good but I was NOT prepared for the flood of tears that came with that initial bite. I was instantly transported back to my sweet Mammaw’s kitchen. The taste was so similar to hers I could almost see her face as I ate. RIP to my mawmaw and THANK YOU Centennial Cafe!!!

Such a delicious breakfast (for lunch). Megan was an excellent server and so helpful. Small local place that has great prices and does a ton of business. Great looking lunch plates coming out from the kitchen loaded with pot roast or spaghetti. I wish this place was in Jackson! Yum! #foodielife #supportlocal

Centennial Cafe: Where Quality Meets Unbelievable Value
Walking into Centennial Cafe, I was prepared for a standard breakfast experience, but what I received was anything but ordinary. This little spot is a true hidden gem that delivers on flavor, quantity, and—most shockingly—price.
I ordered the classic breakfast combo: a stack of fluffy pancakes, savory sausage, perfectly cooked eggs, crispy home fries, and a comforting cup of tea.
The pancakes were light and airy, cooked to a golden perfection, and held their own without being overly dense. The sausage links were juicy and seasoned well, complementing the richness of the eggs, which I had ordered scrambled. But the real star, aside from the main dishes, were the home fries—crispy on the outside, tender on the inside, showing that they take care with every element of the plate.
The portion size was incredibly generous; it was a full, hearty breakfast that left me completely satisfied.
However, the most memorable part of the entire experience was the bill. When I saw the crazy low price, I genuinely couldn’t believe it. The combination of excellent, home-cooked quality food and the sheer quantity for such an affordable price point is practically unheard of today. Centennial Cafe offers unbeatable value without compromising on taste. If you’re looking for a top-notch breakfast that won’t empty your wallet, this is the place to go. Highly, highly recommended!

Exceptional flavor and quality food. The fried chicken is nothing short of perfect, every time. I’ve had their lunches only, not breakfast. I hear that it is as good as the lunch. Also, the prices are very respectable!
UPDATE!!! The Southern Fried Chicken is still the best in Nashville!

Old school southern diner. Local folks, nice waitress, owner onsite (I think) and standard, hearty meals. Definitely an institution to admire and frequent.
