The Good (and it was genuinely good):
* Exceptional Service & Staff: Seriously, the people working here were great. Attentive, friendly, and really made an effort. It’s clear they take pride in their service.
* Everything Else: All the supporting dishes our group had—appetizers, sides, non-steak entrees—were perfectly enjoyable. No complaints there at all.
The Main Event (Where things went… south):
Based on all the glowing reviews 91 Wood Fired Oven has, I’m going to chalk this up to an “off night.” Unfortunately, that off night centered around the most important (and priciest) part of our meal: the steak.
Our party ordered three of the “Canton’s Best Strip Steak,” and frankly, they were a letdown, especially considering the price point.
* Appearance: The color of the meat was a bit off—not quite the deep, appealing sear you expect from a wood-fired oven.
* Seasoning: Extremely lacking. They tasted incredibly unseasoned, which is a real shame when you’re starting with what should be a premium cut.
* Texture: This was the biggest issue. All three steaks were noticeably tough and rubbery. For a highly-rated strip steak, this was simply unacceptable. Chewing felt like a chore rather than a pleasure.
Overall Impression:
If you go to 91 Wood Fired Oven, you’ll be treated wonderfully by the staff, and everything but the steak is likely to be delicious. If you’re dropping significant money for a steakhouse experience, however, the star of the show needs to shine. Ours didn’t. Maybe stick to the pasta or pizza, or just hope you catch them on an “on night.” For what we paid for three tough strip steaks, the value just wasn’t there.

Excellent food, Excellent service. Steve was our waiter and he was fantastic. We had a two cocktails, a pizza, and the strip steak. Cocktails were delicious. Pizza was good. Steak was prepared exactly how I like. I wouldn’t say it was the best steak I’ve ahd but it was really good. I would definitely recommend this place.

Had a great experience tonight on Valentine’s Day. Staff was great and food was exceptional. Sarah was our server and we loved our experience with her today. Will come again and would highly recommend! I order the salmon and I can say that you will not find another salmon as good as this around!

91 Wood fired oven is a place for a special occasion. Its atmosphere is not pretentious but dignified, accomodating both those that come for special occasions as well as those who simply want a good drink. My wedge salad was well-balanced both in flavor and texture and was so satisfying. The porkchop was perfectly cooked and so flavorful, and the sides complemented it perfectly. It was the star of the show and the best porkchop I have ever had. Our waiter was friendly enough and the food came quickly. We loved it!

For the prices, I really expected more. Pizza was ok. Not much on it. It was in the wood fired oven a little too long. I have zero problem with some char, but some of it was literally burnt. I wish I had thought to take a pic. The creme brulee cheesecake was huge, but not amazing. Nothing was bad, but It was just a very underwhelming experience.

Don’t ever order anything for pick up, they’ll give you half your order. Well technically they gave us 66% of our order, then they blame you for not going through other peoples orders to locate the item they left out of your order. The 66% of our order we did receive was mediocre at best….and it was Fettuccine Alfredo. I’ve had better Fettuccine Alfredo from a jar of Ragu. So if you want mediocre pasta and only getting some of the order you overpaid for, this is the place for you. The only positive thing was this was paid for with gift cards we received for Xmas, I’ll definitely let the person who gave us these know not to ever make that mistake again. I would not waste your money here.

This was exactly we had hoped it would be. The shrimp risotto was very very good. The Margherita pizza was amazing. But the best was the cherry goat-cheese salad So good , I was already planning out how to have it again soon.
