The Hideaway is a comfortable, rambling, old-style roadhouse, tucked-away (it is The Hideaway, after all!), off the beaten path, in Odenton. Specializing in BBQ, The Award-winning Hideaway has a national reputation, specializing in fall-off-the-bone ribs, tender Texas brisket, and Memphis pulled pork, all smoked (low-and-slow) over pecan wood. If you are a fan of wings, one bite of The Hideaway’s dry-rubbed, smoked and flash-fried wings will convince you that they are the best wings you have ever eaten! Of course, the pecan-smoked, fried chicken is bizarrely wonderful… and the salmon, crabcakes and creative sandwiches are great, too. In other words, just one stop at The Hideaway, and you will know you have found your new, favorite place!
Upbeat BBQ joint & bar offering smoked meats, burgers & other American fare, plus live music.

Stopped by on a whim last night and I’m so glad we did. Easy parking, friendly hostess, phenomenal server (Matt) and the food did not miss. Ordered the dry spicy-hot wings (bruhhhhh, award winning for a reason), an orange crush, brisket with collard greens and Mac and cheese, and the burnt tips on pilaf with their signature cornbread. Everything was excellent! They have a bar-side with high tops and a dining-side with tables and booths. Outside had stringed lights and I’m sure it’s a vibe when the weather is mild. Timing on drinks, app, and meals was perfect. Thanks yall. We’ll be back soon.

First off if you looking for bbq this is not the place. We pulled up to no available parking and a fullish restaurant so I was expecting everything would be good. I circle the lot a few times before finding someone coming out. 15min wait for table. We ordered appetizers and drinks they forgot to bring the wings. The entrees start arriving in tell the waiter the wing never came he for some reason boxes them and doesn’t bring them until the end of the meal. They also forgot one of our entrees. That came to the table late. Don’t waste your time on the bbq sampler. The pulled pork and brisket were dry and un seasoned, not smoked and ribs might have been the only good thing on the plate. We didn’t even stop to complain we were just ready to go and doubt we will be back.

I’ve been here multiple times. I have never been disappointed. This is a local gem. The food is fantastic. It’s always loud but that’s just the environment. Perfect for a lowkey date, family night, midday lunch. They have events going on throughout the week check their socials for what they have going on. The service has always been great and attentive.

Heard good things about this place, figured I’d have dinner here.
I got their St. Louis Ribs which were great! Didn’t need a sauce since they were well seasoned. Although, their Blackberry Chipotle sauce is SOOO good. You can buy a bottle from them too.
Service is wonderful, staff was very friendly.
Parking was decent, but it does get busy and packed on weekends during peak hours.

Came here for my birthday with friends! All 6 of us loved our orders and drinks. The tipsy mellow was such a good cocktail. Sweet without being sickeningly sweet and so tasty, I had two! My cousin had one as well! The chili is excellent as well. A good level of heat and the smokey flavor is delicious. I had the dry spice fried chicken. The seasoning was “finger licking good”! I did add their blackberry chipotle sauce to have the best of both worlds. The green beans and parmesan truffle fries were also really good. Matt was our server and he was so nice! He is very nice and attentive. He overheard it was my birthday and offered a dessert. I am gluten free so he got me some pecan ice cream and lit a candle for us and took our picture. Thanks Matt!

Food is top tier! Nothing we tried on the menu was average or below. Chicken, mac and cheese, baked beans, brussels, cornbread, catfish, jalapeno brisket rolls, collard greens, and beef brisket you cannot go wrong with. Key Lime pie was also amazing. Good drinks too!
This was my 3rd visit and my waitress Alexa A had some of the best customer service. She was busy working as the hostess as well but very attentive and made sure my table got what it needed. Request her if you come!

The atmosphere was great, and I thoroughly enjoyed the food. The wings were amazing—meaty and perfectly cooked, not hard at all. We devoured two portions of the cornbread and left stuffed. The baked beans were tasty, though not particularly unique. I wasn’t a fan of the mac and cheese, but everything else was excellent. I’ll definitely be back!

Been going for years, a favorite and usually always very good. Went evening of 12/28/25 and felt compelled to review here afterwards. No business is ever perfect, but this time a few things were concerning and my hope is they keep it from happening again. It was not particularly as busy as it usually gets. The menus were not cleaned and had unk own syrup like product on them, we got it all over our hands. Some of the table utensils looked to be from the previous party or something. Much of our food came out barely warm and cold. Pot pie was hot and tasted great but seems to have less chicken (barely any) than it used to. Same with the chili (was cold though), tasted great, little to no meat. A couple orders of wings came out cold. However, we did have dishes that were their usual goodness and the service was great. We aren’t the type to send food back for a number of what we believe are good reasons so hence the review here. Sorry to The Hideaway owners if this is not the way you prefer disclosure of problems with our experience but hope tou understand.

Have not been here in a while, but they have good food and a great local craft beer selection. I had the Buffalo Wings, nice and meaty, but despite saying Buffalo did not have the traditional Buffalo flavor. Regular order comes with eight wings. Plenty for me. I had their Old Fashioned, it was good, not great. I also had a Snow Tracks White IPA, very good. Reasonable prices, nice atmosphere. Warning, location and parking could be problematic when it’s crowded. Located on a narrow street in a residential area. If you cannot find a spot in their lot, you’ll be on the tight street.

I’ve been coming here monthly for almost 4 years now. The food is consistent, delicious, with portions sizes leaving you unbuttoned. This is the only restaurant that I am able to eat in due to health issues. So it’s a bonus that they have chicken wings, bbq, and crabby fries
The staff are polite, on top of things, and have become people that we look forward to seeing every month. The new manager is making great strides to make The Hideaway even better. But he and I have beef.. He replaced my favorite bbq. lol.
I don’t drink alcohol, but I always come with lots of friends and they absolutely love the drink options.
