Always looking for good Mexican places around here and they did not disappoint. Service was friendly and our server even offered to have something made that wasn’t on the menu. Chips and salsa were excellent. Food was was hot and fresh. Kept the drinks full and table cleared of any dirty dishes. Nice clean establishment.

We were five couples and we made a reservation in advance to be sure we could be seated. Almost everyone had a different entree and a different drink – all were great. The chips, salsa and bean dip were outstanding as was the service. The desserts were tempting and most were ordered — again all were excellent. When my wife and I go to a location, we always look for a place to sit down and have a good meal. Don Tequilas in Monument is a fantastic place to have a meal. The food was authentic and made to order. The waitress/bartender recommended the fiesta margaritas and they did not disappoint. They made us feel like family and that’s what we look for when researching a restaurant. If you’re ever in the north Jackson Creek area of Monument Colorado I highly recommend this place for authentic Mexican food and stunning margaritas!!

This place is a great place to stop! The interior is really cool and have tvs to watch games.
The meal came with chips, salsa and bean dip that were great to start with. We had the fajitas for two and the portions were huge! Not to mention delicious marinated steak and chicken. Would definitely recommend!

We had a great experience for dinner. Margarita was awesome! I ordered the Chimichanga and my husband ordered the Verde Burrito, I didn’t get a picture but he enjoyed his dinner too! Mariah was our server and Liz our bartender!! Great service! When we come back to Colorado we will be back. Thank you.

Hands down THE BEST MEXICAN food we have had in Colorado since moving here 4 years ago. Not sure what all the talk about bad service was. We went on Saturday after a hike, no one was there but the three gentlemen we interacted with were all super friendly. We live in the springs but will make the journey up when we are craving that delicious Mexican food fix!

I stumbled upon this restaurant and ordered food to-go. The staff was wonderful and there are some seriously beautiful art on the walls! I ordered the Burrito Colorado and also got a bag full of chips and salsa. The red sauce was very tasty, but I expected a bit more flavor from the steak. Overall a solid good burrito. A great local Mexican restaurant.

Chili Rojo… just don’t get that! It was as long as my forearm and twice as wide! Makes my fork look like a joke in the pic. Who’s eating portions like that?! Less is more.
2lbs of slow cooked dog food wrapped in a soggy tarp, bathed in spaghetti sauce… all in a nice pool of oil. DELICIOUS!
It’s not like it just looked bad. I seriously couldn’t eat more than one bite. Odd flavors, made me wonder how long this braised meat had been sitting there waiting for me to order it.
When we got there I should have left immediately. The host (or manager/owner for all I know) was sitting on the bench on his phone. He said “Hi” to us but got back to his phone. I thought he was a waiting customer! He let us wait there for a minute before he got off the customer bench and offered a table.
This place probably has 200 items on the menu… when you see that you should close the menu and leave. If they focus on the 10 items they do best the execution would be better.
I’ll keep checking the menu and will come back and re-review in the future if I see changes. The restaurant is well done with nice decor, my waiter was helpful and friendly. But I came there for good Mexican food not cool tables.
I paid before I tasted it (wanted to eat and run) — immediately asked for a refund. Manager never came to get feedback to see what could be done in the future to make it better either.
Started bad, ended bad.

Don Tequila is one of our go-to lunch destinations. There’s plenty of room for large groups and smaller groups can be sat in quieter areas. It’s clean, the food is good, the iced tea is always fresh, and the staff is friendly. I personally love the margarita mugs, they’re awfully cute.
