Went out with my husband this evening and treated ourselves to these delicious plates — crispy prawns & juicy chicken tikka with a tangy dip. So good! #FoodieEvening #CoupleTime #DesiDinnerVibes

Consistently fabulous food!
This tucked away Indian takeaway restaurant isn’t the prettiest shop in town, but please don’t judge a book by its cover. The food we’ve had here is always delicious. We feed a family of four, for which I’d like to recommend the meal for two including the lamb jalfrezi and the chicken madras. On top of this we add a mixed Starter and two more papadams, this easily feeds two adults and two teenage kids a large meal for around £10 a head, delivered. Something for everyone on the menu here. Friendly staff, though we usually have delivery and quickly too.
One further tip call the restaurant directly or use their website for discount.

We ate in the restaurant for the first time yesterday. We were astounded at the quality of the food. Everything was so fresh and tasty. My partner described it as the best Indian food he has had for a long time-he says it is the best Indian in Margate by a long way. Do not go anywhere else! The staff were attentive; the owner spoke to us and is so proud of his restaurant, we wanted to spread the word. If you are in Margate, go there-you won’t be disappointed

A Fresh Take with Familiar Flavours
Margate’s culinary scene has a new contender, or rather, an established favourite with a fresh perspective: Margate Spice. Under new ownership, this local spot seems to be hitting all the right notes, judging by a recent delightful foray into their menu.
The star of the show was undoubtedly the chicken biryani, a fragrant and flavourful masterpiece. Each grain of basmati rice was infused with aromatic spices, perfectly complementing the tender pieces of chicken. It possessed that comforting depth of flavour that speaks of slow cooking and careful attention to detail.
Venturing into spicier territory, the Madras delivered a satisfying kick without being overwhelmingly fiery. The sauce was rich and vibrant, clinging beautifully to the succulent pieces of chicken. It struck a wonderful balance, allowing the inherent flavour of the chillies and other spices to shine through.
The accompanying pilau rice was light and fluffy, the perfect neutral canvas to soak up the rich sauces. Meanwhile, the keema naan was a revelation – soft and pillowy, generously filled with flavourful minced lamb. It was the ideal accompaniment for scooping up every last morsel of the biryani and Madras.
The appetisers also impressed. The samosas boasted a crisp, golden exterior giving way to a warmly spiced filling, while the onion bhajis were delightfully crunchy and full of flavour, without being greasy.
The only minor hiccup was the initial omission of the poppadoms, but this was swiftly and cheerfully rectified with a quick return trip. The staff and chefs alike were noted for their pleasant and accommodating nature, adding to the overall positive experience. It’s always reassuring to see friendly faces behind delicious food.
What truly stood out was the evident freshness and vibrancy of the dishes. Each element tasted as though it had been prepared with care and high-quality ingredients. Margate Spice, under its new stewardship, seems to be delivering on the promise of flavour and freshness.
Verdict: If you’re looking for a flavourful and freshly prepared Indian meal in Margate, Margate Spice is certainly worth a visit. With a menu full of classic dishes executed with care and served by a friendly team, it’s a welcome addition (or re-invigoration) to the local food scene. Just double-check those poppadoms!
Would definitely go again when visiting my friend in the area. Meal came to with discount after honouring the menu the lady gave me £29-30.

A Fiery Delight You Won’t Forget!
Having just enjoyed another fantastic meal from Margate Indian Spice, I can confidently say this place is a standout for anyone craving authentic and intensely flavourful Indian cuisine. Even with a Deliveroo voucher, the quality shone through, proving that great food doesn’t need a hefty price tag to impress.
Tonight’s feast kicked off with the sheek kebab, and it was an absolute flavour bomb! Bursting with aromatic spices and fresh coriander, each bite was a testament to their skillful preparation. This was swiftly followed by a chicken Madras, which I specifically requested extra hot – and they delivered! It had that perfect balance of a rich, savoury base with a formidable chili kick that truly satisfied my craving for heat.
The accompaniments were equally impressive. The pilau rice was cooked to perfection, light and fluffy, serving as an ideal canvas for the vibrant curries. But the real showstopper? The keema naan. This thing was massive, easily big enough to feed three people, and the minced meat filling was wonderfully tender and packed with flavour. And let’s not forget the chutney yogurt – a delightful, cooling counterpoint to the spice, adding another layer of taste to the experience.
This isn’t my first rodeo with Margate Indian Spice, and the consistency is truly amazing. Every dish I’ve tried has been top-notch, demonstrating a clear passion for authentic Indian cooking. My only wish? That they’d introduce some set meal offer like Ali Raj(16.95). If they did, I’d honestly be ordering from them every few days – that’s how good the food is!
If you’re in Margate and looking for an Indian takeaway that delivers on flavour, heat (if you want it!), and generous portions, Margate Indian Spice should be at the top of your list. You won’t be disappointed!
Thankyou once again for a memorable experience
