Cute little place off I-10 in Katy! We were greeted as soon as we walked in the door and sat wherever we liked. The waiter was friendly and was quick with our service.
We ordered (2) empanadas, (2) sides of potatoes, a bacon & egg croissant, a cappuccino and (2) café el bombón.
The empanadas we ordered were one beef and one chicken. Both were absolutely delicious! They were not greasy and filled to the max with meat! The flavor of the meat was so good!
The bacon & egg croissant was very tasty! The croissant was soft and flaky and it was filled generously with egg and bacon.
The potatoes were good and cook in them was perfect. They had a lot of rosemary on them but not overpowering.
The cappuccino was tasty and the cafe el bombon was AMAZING!! A super cute drink that packs a flavor punch!
The restaurant itself is super cute! It has a light, fun atmosphere filled with Venezuelan/ South American culture! The cafe bar is super cute too!

Had to write this review so people know why this business is closed. There was a big fire that caused severe damage and consumed it. Sad what happened to this amazing place. Praying the owners recover from this setback.

This wonderful and adorable place is so delicious. The atmosphere is upbeat and aesthetically pleasing. Every time I come here I have chosen something different from the menu and nothing has disappointed me yet. A nice gem in our very own city of Katy! You won’t know this place exists if you are driving by in the area. Nestled in an established commercial warehouse area is this very cute Venezuelan cafe that opens all week. Right when you walk in, you are greeted by smiles and warmth. Then the place is lit with with modern farmhouse decor! They have a wide range of food and coffee from breakfast, lunch and dinner! Come check this place out! ChowChow Time!!

This is my third time in this restaurant. The service is awesome and the food taste fantastic it is real made from scratch. I ordered a simple grill chicken breast to check the seasoning and it came extraordinary. The presentation on a wooden-flat plate is great as well as the sides in separate wooden containers. The Bombom coffee is a MUST in this place as sets apart from other places. The only thing I would like to this place to consider is the location however I know it is based on price-demand and it will be very difficult to relocate to somewhere more fancy such as La Centerra or somewhere more accessible as it depends on rental, mobilization etc. It is a matter of time I guess to this place to grow if they continue with excellent service and true-food options Good job guys…

Overall a 4.5. I ordered the chicken breast plate and it was delicious! It came with a big portion of chicken, lots of white rice, perfectly cooked sweet plantains, and some very very delicious beans that I THINK were mixed in with a few lentils which enhanced them. We also had a side of yucca fries which were yummy but plain and no seasoning on top and the portion was small. It did come in a cute basket though! The cappuccino was cute and it was more bitter than I expected but it was good enough to finish without it feeling like I was forcing myself to drink it. I’m definitely coming back again to try more menu items. The ambiance is cute, semi intimate, good natural lighting and the music is gentle, jazzy mixes of popular songs but also some unique songs as well. Loved it!

The waiter not the nicest person bad attitude, the food is good even though we had the gallo Pinto which is good , my complaint is they advertised on the menu for $12 but they charge you $15 we ask why and they said because is wrong on the menu. Ok, understand but you should charge the price you have on the menu. Or delete it from menu or tell the costumer before they order it.
Gallo pinto plate should include the natilla” sour cream “ Not charge an extra $1 for it and is one spoon that’s crazy.
Overall not a good experience at this place.
