I hadn’t eaten from New China Hut in a long time but I was downtown and Chinese sounded good so I placed an order for the Empress Chicken dinner but paid a little extra to substitute a combination fried rice for the chicken fried rice. The empress chicken and fried rice were really good with generous portions for both and a good mixture of shrimp, beef, chicken and pork in the rice. I’ve had better egg rolls though and wasn’t a fan of the sweet and sour dipping sauce that came in a cup with the meal. It was just a little too sweet for my taste.
The meal was good overall and the takeout order was prepared really fast. The staff were nice on the phone and when I was picking up my order but at a cost of $20 I will probably consider going to other places next time I’m in the mood for Chinese takeout.

I originally ordered this for my family because we wanted to do dinner together. I think the portion sizes are amazing and the prices are great, but I was extremely disappointed in the food quality.
The chicken in the chicken fried rice was dark and stale. The rice just tastes like a ton of soy sauce was added and that’s it. The noodles were kinda burnt and so they were a bit off on flavor. The orange chicken didn’t have any zest to it, and neither did the general tso chicken. Both were like 65% breading and hardly any chicken meat. It also felt like I was eating low quality chicken nugget meat.
Honestly the best thing they had provided was the crab rangoon and egg roll. Needless to say I won’t be giving them a second chance just because of a bad first experience. Sorry!

This is the first time my daughter ordered delivery from this food establishment. I just have to say, WOW! I’m very pleased with my beef fried rice. It’s exactly how I like it made. There was big pieces of beef in EVERY bite! The serving, was enough for 2-3 people! Well worth the price compared to other places! I’ve been disappointed in East China Inn in N Aurora, (which was my fav go to). Haven’t ordered from them in a year. Finally, I will be ordering from here from now on. I highly recommend this place!

Reading some of these reviews and I’m super confused. They must have the wrong place, I’ve been eating here for years. My family and me think the food here is great! We’ve tried other Chinese restaurants in the area and this one definitely has the best tasting food. There’s two other restaurants that are closer to my house but I rather drive a little more for the quality. They were on vacation a few weeks ago and we gave another place a shot, but that was a mistake. The consistency is the best. Prices are extremely fair for the portions you get; usually enough for leftovers too. Regarding the reviews about lady/owner, I’ve never experienced any rudeness or anything, might just be some sort of cultural differences and expectations but she’s cool to me and nice to my kids. Love this place

Terrible restaurant,I was making delivery from this restaurant and they even don’t let me go to the restroom.Dirty everywhere,the lady that serves is rude .I waited my order for a long time and when I ask how long I need to wait she asked me 1 hour,when I ask to repeat on camera she left . I consider this level of service unacceptable, and the lack of a restroom is also unacceptable.

Owner was rude kept trying to take my order and then turning around and completely ignoring me for a good few minutes then would turn around and repeat it. The food was so salty and I felt unsafe sitting there waiting for my food and way too overpriced!!

Food is okay but the service is terrible they are very unorganized and understaffed. Door Dash orders storm the place so good luck getting an order out of there under 50 minutes even if its just a pick up order. If you dont wait the long waiting time the owner will call you to try and make you feel bad in a rude way. (Not sure if its always like that or only on weekends)

The “bug” in Lo Rose’s review was actually a canned anchovy fillet, most likely due to cross contamination from another dish (which is common in a kitchen setting). Another genius in her comment section used AI to scan the image and concluded it was a house centipede, which isn’t the case. It is time to think critically instead of lambasting small businesses over lies. I strong encourage people to do their due diligence before writing false claims on the internet as businesses can sue for libel. If you are writing defamatory reviews on behalf of Lo Rose (without having eaten here) just know you are not helping, but setting her up for failure. This woman most likely does not have the financial resources to enter a legal battle.
