Absolutely fresh, fried amazing…right on the spot, fast only waited 10 mins…and tons of mostly eaten lol, my bad fried okra ughh love. Tried the grooper, and they are super fat, fresh, juicy, not over seasoned…and I didn’t even think but they had ready fresh lemons!!! Ohhh my gosh, lol.. 1st time, and yes sirr, I’ll Absolutely come back again!!! Ty so much!!! Everything was perfect 10 stars!!! ☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆+² lol♡

Me and my friend are from outside of town and she wanted some blue crabs. It was suggested from some locals to come to this place because the other place we went to was so packed. Got here, order food and when we went to pay, the guy who’s Indian or Arabic immediately tries to make ghetto black jokes. Calling my friend shay shay and rolling his neck . I was like nah don’t do that. He then tries to laugh and say, I’m just kidding but did it again. We get our food and my friend notice that her crabs are cold. We go back in to let him know and he says, “how did you pay? You can’t get hot foods on EBT”. 1. Why would you assume we paid with EBT. 2. You CLEARLY JUST checked us out and saw she used a credit card. 3. My food was HOT and it was rang up together! At this point, I’m pissed and wanted to knock everything over! She got her crabs heated and now the little boy is trying to be funny calling out for “shay shay”. . Food wasn’t that good but the prices are reasonable. However, don’t go to this place!

This was my first time trying The Crab Shack, I’ve heard a few times it was a good place for seafood but i never had a chance to try them out. Well i did today and was pleasantly surprised at the different options between fresh or fried combs.. This option was #6 and it was great with good portions for the prices i will definitely be back

Bomb! This food is delicious!!! We ordered the steamed J-Ville special (2 people shared it). So much food and the butter garlic sauce was the best ever! Highly recommend!

I am a big seafood lover. My family is from Nassau, Bahamas, so I know my seafood. I am originally from Miami, and have been in Jacksonville for some time now. I have tried various crab places here and have pretty much been satisfied, until last night. I went to the Jville Crab Shack on Edgewood. I bought the garlic blue crabs only. The guy assured me they were fresh, and had got them in that day. When I got them home, warmed some up, they were mushy, and smelled like ammonia. Because it was too late to take them back, I am taking them back on my lunch hour today.

I got 40 dollars of so call fresh fish and when I took a bite my nose started burning the fish taste like ammonia I thought I was just over thinking it or something but my 12yrs nephew took a bite and he wouldn’t eat it ..I asked him why he wasn’t eating his food he said it taste funny..I said for u too and that’s when I knew it wasn’t just me. All that night was feeling sick. My shrimp was fried so hard as well that we couldn’t eat them. The only think that was good was the fried okra.
