This place was recommended to me by my friends. Finally got around to trying it out (February 2025). I came for lunch and it wasn’t too busy. (My friends usually order take out). The service was ok. The food was good and the price is reasonable. I would come back again.

It’s a small restaurant, but I’ve had takeout from here many times. This was my first time dining in with my family. We had family visiting from out of town, and they were craving some delicious sushi. Thank you for not disappointing my guests! We ordered a variety of dishes, and the table was cleared in no time—my family ate like hungry monsters!

Passing by the area, we stopped by this highly ranked restaurant, which has a name of serving Japanese food with a reasonable price. We were sitted right away, but they were actually quite busy for the to-go orders. Yet, service wasn’t bad. We both agreed that food quality could be explained by you got what you’re paying for.

Never again. they are rude and don’t care about their own rules or quality of food. Ordered for a specific time for pick up, they had it ready 45 mins early – raw food. They said it was ok, as they usually have the food sitting out WAY early – it was mentioned it was raw, they said don’t worry about it. Asked for them to redo the sashimi they argued and were confrontational. I have been going her for over 4 years, this last year has been pathetic and this is the last straw. They said they don’t follow the web site for times to be ready, they just do it way ahead of time and ignore customer input. Asked why, they said it’s the website’s problem. Quality, service, attitude and lack of food handling… be ready for a toilet experience.

I ordered twice from here as takeouts. Their price is very good. The sushi is fresh and the tempura was fine although it’s not the best sushi around town, however, it’s what you pay is what you get kinda good. They give generous portion and the ingredients seemed fresh. Overall, I’d buy from them again if I want something decent and quick.

This is hands down one of my fave sushi places in Richmond. The food is excellently prepared, with fresh ingredients and an eye to consistentcy. The aburi is addictive, and the sashimi melts in your mouth. Everything we’ve ever ordered from here over the years has been delicious!

Before we even entered the restaurant, we knew this is not a Japanese-run establishment. Japanese-run restaurants take several hours’ break in the afternoon. This restaurant doesn’t take breaks. Sure enough, it’s a Chinese-run sushi restaurant. Not a problem. In fact, we like it. We prefer late lunches. I.e., 2–3 pm. So, this restaurant meets our needs. Nonetheless, Mandarin and English only. No Cantonese.
Wife really likes her $12.95 “Tonkatsu Set Meal.” It’s not the greatest, but at this price point, it’s a great value, with big portions and, most importantly, quite delicious.
Not so much for my $13.95 “Yaki Udon Chicken Set Meal” though. The flavor is too heavy. Every chopstick-full of noodles makes me thirst-quenching. It was too much for my taste buds. Never again!!
Nigiri Sushis are pretty good. Great value. Standard size. Tasted fresh.
One reviewer complained, “wild salmon is frozen.” <---- Pointing at him ROFLMAO. If it hasn't been frozen before, no way I'm gonna eat raw fish. All sashimi-grade seafood MUST be frozen if you don't wanna die a horrible death BC CDC require all sashimi be frozen at temperatures of -20C or lower for 7 days to destroy harmful bacteria and parasites.
You don’t see too many sushi restaurants in GVA that offer Hamachi Belly. So we ordered both Hamachi and Hamachi Belly nigiri sushis to find out the difference. The Hamachi Belly tasted a lot better. The taste is as distinguishable and pronounced as salmon and salmon belly, and tuna and toro. For 50 cents more each, they were well worth it!
Be sure to order the Salmon Belly nigiri sushi here. It’s only $2.45 per piece. The sushi is thick, fresh, and quite a mouthful. It’s greeeat!
The wasabi here suck. It’s too mild and almost tasteless. To be fair, most sushi restaurants in GVA offer weak wasabi as well.
Be sure not to order too much at one time. The waiter doesn’t take notes. I told him, “I am pretty sure you can’t remember everything I just ordered.” He just smiled at me. Sure enough, he had to re-ask what I ordered. And one of the sushi orders was wrong too.

Love this place. Our go to sushi joint for take out. Food is fresh and no complaints most of the time. We’ve been a long time customer for years! Our favourite is caterpillar roll, tuna oshi and grilled squid! Always a must order for these items.
