Our take out order was Happy Family, Pad Thai, Wonton Soup and their version of Crab Rangoon.
All of the food was very bland. Not much flavor at all. The Wonton soup only came with 2 wontons. The meals had plenty of meat, just very bland. We were fooled by the reviews on this place. There was some reviews talking about the food being bland but sometimes you have to try it yourself. We won’t be back!

We ordered three entrees and pork fried rice.
The burbin chicken was filled with vegetables and the chicken its self was over cooked and poorly flavored.
Mongolian beef was bland, the sauce was thin and the beef was not cooked in the sauce.
The garlic chicken was also bland and over cooked. But mostly raw onions, not good.
The pork fried rice was also no good. Bland bits of pork thrown in with no flavor.
Over all not good food.

I personally think this is one of the best restaurants around. The owner and staff are the nicest people ever and the atmosphere is amazing and comfortable. A lot of dishes I’ve tried which are the Thai spicy noodle bowl with tofu , hot and sour fish, green curry with tofu, volcano shrimp, and the yum noodle soup bowl with tofu are all DELICIOUS. Their bubble tea is also the best around. My boyfriend and I get 2 appetizers, 2 entrees, hot tea and 2 bubble teas all for $50, which I think is worth it. I have to come at least once a week because I LOVE this restaurant!

This restaurant seems to be run by the sweetest and friendliest woman in Oxford. She thoughtfully checked in on the spice level of my curry based on my soup order- it was delicious (Malaysian curry with tofu).
Great atmosphere- clearly a spot for regulars and the server knew all their names and orders.

I wouldn’t call it gourmet, but I also wouldn’t call it bad by any stretch. They clearly cut costs by serving far too many vegetables and reducing the rice included in your entree to a kids size. I’ve removed a star for both these points. Despite this, given that it’s the SINGULAR restaurant in Oxford serving Chinese-american cuisine at prices that are wholly reasonable, I’m inclined to return. When I do, I’ll be updating this review to reflect the ratio of rice:veg:meat. Hopefully it’s a better ratio, as this restaurant fully deserves to earn 5 stars in my mind.

Excellent service! Great food. The chef came out to our table to make sure the custom curry order was what I wanted and made a couple of suggestions. Service was the best. Recommend the Thai curry, sweet and sour chicken, drunken noodles – the pot stickers and egg roll also very good. The portions were big and the prices very reasonable – great value.

Excellent food! We were here for parents weekend. Busy busy busy. But after a short wait, we had a delicious meal that rivaled anything we have had in Chicago. When a restaurant is super busy but still delivers you know it’s good. Friendly staff, good service, reasonable prices. They even brought us chopsticks!

Phan Shin is amazing! The inside is very clean and the staff is extremely friendly and welcoming. I ordered orange chicken with white rice and it was ready for pick up within just a few minutes!
