Ordered to-go online and my order was ready when I arrived. You’ll have to go into the Pub House building and out the back door through the tent to be able to access the front of the food cart pod. There doesn’t appear to be access to it from the outside. I ordered the brisket, beans, and salad. The salad was super fresh and light and delicious. The briskets was a bit thin and overcooked for my taste. Unfortunately the beans were not cooked all of the way and were crunchy. The staff were very friendly.

My husband and I love this place. Its our favorite bbq in the area. We usually get their baked potato with burnt ends. What i like to do is also get a side of the cilantro lime cole slaw and put it on top of the potato. Love it! The potatoes they give you are really big so this usually lasts me 2 and a half meals. Their potato salad is great, too. Overall very happy with their food and they are such nice people. If youre looking for bbq, definitely try their food!

I’m going to be a counterpoint to the folks who think the pork is too dry and tastes like pepper. One of the “truths” of BBQ is that there are lots of styles and tastes, so if you like wet, stringy pork with a tomato and molasses based sauce – go to a place that features St Louis or maybe KC style Q. If you like your pork chopped and seasoned with vinegar, pepper and wood smoke, head for NC, Georgia or north Alabama. And that’s what you’ll find at Black Market.
I’m not a big fan of ribs or brisket, so I can’t really speak to those. I am a snob about good chopped pork Q, and I actually think Black Market is one of the best I’ve had outside the southern Appalachian country. I’ll put this up against Bob Gibsons, Backyard BBQ, Lexington, et al. The meat is tender, well cooked, chopped just right, and you can taste the cayenne and black pepper/vinegar ‘bite’. My only ‘complaint’ is that they don’t have hush puppies.
So a full five freakin’ stars, and well earned.

The food was absolutely terrible. I’ve never had an experience where I felt so disappointed in the quality. But it happened to me here!
The baked beans were still hard. I suspect they would have been great if cooked all the way.
The burnt ends were dry and hard. Again, the sauce on them was tasty but the meat itself was so dry it made them inedible.
The brisket was the absolute worst I’ve had. Dry, dry, dry. It was sliced so thin it had no choice but to dry out. Ideally it’s sliced to 1/4 inch so you get that flavoring of the bark. It was grey and flavorless.
The ribs were passable but still had the silver skin on the back. There wasn’t much flavor that you’d expect from a crust.
After spending $75 we bowed out after two bites of everything and asked for a box with the sole intent of giving it to someone experiencing homelessness. Even then we debated whether to do that.

I’m a bbq snob and bbq chef so hopefully my honest review will help them. Their ribs are cooked perfectly. Only have one sauce but I like it. Pulled pork is dry and only taste like pepper. They over shred it and have it sitting in a warmer that way. They also aren’t brining it and shouldn’t add in pepper. For brisket they only gave me untrimmed flat. Under cooked, rubbery and again only pepper for a seasoning. Huli hull chicken is cooked perfectly. I don’t like the sauce. It should be on the side. Not hardly any smoke smell or flavor. They should stick a smoke tube in their pellet smoker. Also the beans were undercooked and flavorless. I’m not trying to beat you up. I gave you a star more than this deserved since most of it went in the trash. You are going to have to go back in the workshop if you want to turn your BBQ business into something folks from the south will recognise.

OMG!!! Everything is so good, the brisket and ribs are on point. The coleslaw has Cilantro in it it’s crunchy and delicious the best coleslaw. The beans and the potato salad are a must try. I’m not a big fan of chili, but the chili they have it’s amazing. You just have to try this place. Took me back home to TX. Thank you for the great food. To top it off, they are very friendly. We are definitely coming back!

I’m from Nashville so I have like, really strong opinions on BBQ and such. Black Market BBQ checks all the boxes and then some. Everything is flavorful and has just the right amount of kick. My ONLY complaint is I wish they were open more often. Thanks for keeping me fueled up on the good stuff.

I’ve been meaning to check out Black Market BBQ for a few weeks now. Everytime I drove by it was closed. Located in the Thinking Spirts parking lot, Black Market BBQ is one of three food trucks. The day I went, it was real rainy, so I took my food to go. They have a nice seating area, but not much cover. I ordered the One Meat plate, which includes two sides. The brisket is a $4 upcharge, which seems a little steep but thats what I wanted, so I got it. For my sides, I ordered the pinto beans and potato salad. Unfortunately when I got back to work, and sat down to eat the food, I noticed they gave me coleslaw instead of potato salad, which was disappointing.
Even though they gave me the slaw, it was tasty. The beans were spicy and wasn’t a huge fan of the sauce. The brisket was okay. Nice sear on the outside. However, it was a bite chewy for my liking … not juicy and tender like I would have liked. The BBQ sauce was on the side and spicey as well. Overall I’d give it a 7 out of 10. Might go back to check something else out.

Saturday is Burnt Ends as a special and it was so good. We were able to make four sandwiches at home and this is very cost-effective. Black Market BBQ employees are very friendly and helpful. The food truck was spotless and the parking was easy. I can’t wait to go back and explore the menu.

I liked the people taking my order, unfortunately the RIB’S and BRISKET were dry and hard to chew. Loved the BEAN’S, the GERMAN POTATO SALAD…Ehhh
