We visited for Christmas lunch and it was a wonderful experience. Every plate of food was outstanding and exquisitely presented. The outdoor seating, with views of the valley’s mountains, was a delight. The service, as well, was impeccable. Make a journey to San Javier to see the mission, then venture down the road for a great meal prepared by a fresh, creative, locally-focused chef. It’s a day well spent.

Want to take a beautiful excursion out of Loreto? Head up to the Mission de San Francisco San Javier and stop for lunch at the farm to table restaurant San Javier Farm Restaurant. It was amazing. One of the best meals I have every had. My sea bass was grilled to perfection. All the vegetables and sauces were fresh and local. Highly recommend. Also the service was very inviting. We will definitely go back.

Wonderful, inviting, comfortable, interesting, delicious. The owner Luis is passionate, funny and friendly. Chef Saul’s food was exquisite in presentation and flavor.
Worth the price. Always incredible to find food and ambiance of this quality in such remote places.

If you make a visit to the Javier Mission, this makes a wonderful addition to your trip. The food was exceptional, the atmosphere delightful and the service kind and attentive. It made for a special day. Be aware that wifi is extremely limited so they may not be able to take credit cards. Be prepared to pay in cash.

We took two different sets of guests to the farm restaurant, and were delighted each time. Luis is a great server, and the food was excellent. We especially loved the entradads and the shrimp meal was perfection. Did I mention the atmosphere is as sweet as can be? Loved it all!

Luis was a very good, charming, and informed server! The atmosphere was delightful. We had a cream soup with Pumpkin flower, goat cheese and spinach, also sea bass with grilled vegetables, but the best was the beet salad. One star off for the overdose of salt on the sea bass (and I am a salt lover!) and the foccacia which was still a soft, cold dough in the center. The wines were great, one from the immediate region (a rosé) and one from elsewhere in Mexico (a red). Really good despite the misgivings with the final dish of seabass. 🙂 Thank you Luis!

We stopped in for lunch on a Wednesday, and were delighted to have an amazing meal. First course, a fresh beet salad, second course I had the fish with an adobo sauce made with chilis from the farm, and roasted vegetables. Hubby had the grilled skirt steak, which he raved about, followed by a port wine braised pear. Absolutely sweet people. I took a photo of the flowers in the back, and one of the ladies came and gave me three of them in water to take home. Do not miss this fantastic fresh, simple, yet gourmet restaurant. Ambiance with the fountains was also lovely.

It is worth visiting San Javier just to eat at this restaurant. We had a great lunch. Our food had a wonderful combination of local spices and flavors. After lunch the chef gave us a tour of his garden.

I would give this 10 stars across the board if I could. We did dinner under the stars and it was worth every penny and more. We felt like VIPs from the moment we walked through the gate and it was like walking into a luxury piece of heaven. The food was exceptional, the service impeccable, The projection screen gave us all kinds of historical information, and mother nature did the rest with a glorious sky of stars. They picked us up in town and chauffeured us so we didn’t even have to worry about over indulging in their strawberry margaritas and wine. I’ll never be a fan of cilantro on my dessert, but I can’t stop thinking about their passion fruit dressing for the zucchini carpacio. The carrot soup and flank steak were also amazing.
