I always stop in Silverthorne to get empanadas for my husband and was so excited to see there was a gluten free one that I could try! Unfortunately for me, it was filled with fake meat which made it taste like it was filled with cat food. I couldn’t get the disgusting aftertaste of beyond meat or whatever it is out of my mouth. The gluten free dough was actually pretty good. Please don’t torture the gluten free crowd anymore than we are already. Please use actual meat in the gluten free version. To add insult to injury, gluten free is more expensive and I threw away $6 by getting it. On the plus side, my husband loves the regular ones. They look great and I’ll continue to pick some up for him. Hopefully next time you’ll have a couple options for people with wheat allergies.

Oh my gosh, I can’t stop thinking about the empanadas from this place! I seriously regret not getting a whole lot more because they were amazing! Who took our order was an absolute gem, so friendly and incredibly knowledgeable about the restaurant’s offerings and processes. It made the experience even better!

Extremely disappointed in every single way with this establishment, and the quantity and quality of their food. I have lived in this county for over a decade and we decided to try lazos for the first time. As their website instructs, two empanadas should be an equivalent amount to feed one adult for dinner. We ordered 70 plus dollars worth of empanadas, to include three sweet empanadas. The empanadas that we received not only were so tiny that, including dessert, could barely feed one of my family members, but also, the filling was sour and almost to a jellied state. We ordered different flavors for each one and every single filling, again, was soured and extremely jellified. With my ethnicity and culture, I have grown up with empanadas and food alone, and know when something is spoiled and not. I called the restaurant as we ordered through Uber eats, as well as contacted uber eats, but I wanted to let them know personally as Uber eats does f always do the best job at communicating between client and restaurant. I am 5’3″ , 145 lb woman and my tiny hands are the hands that are pictured next to the empanadas we received, below. I’ve been in the food and beverage industry for over 27 years.. I’m just coming from a customer perspective. The fact that we almost spent $100 to feed our family and couldn’t even feed one person in our family of four, is mind bending. Not only was I met with hostility, I was met with hatred, anger, and lack of care or any sort of desire to listen to anything I had to say without being abruptly interrupted. I was told to stop eating their food immediately and to never eat there again and that I quite literally, suck…. but also was angrily told that their food is great and they don’t really care about my feedback and what I have to say. I proceeded to speak to the owner and let him know that I was not meeting him with any hostility whatsoever, I just wanted to him know from a customer’s standpoint, our feedback, whilst also asking respectfully to be met with such respect. We had literally just paid 70 plus dollars to feed our family and could not even feed one member of our family. The owner proceeded to say, “No. No. No there is nothing we do and will do about that. I followed with, ‘I’m sorry?’. The owner then told me that they don’t do any sort of refunds or anything like that. If anyone is not satisfied with their food, that they should immediately stop eating and never eat there food again, and that to, quote by owner, “to be honest it sucks to be you because our food is great and we don’t really care if you don’t think so.” I have multiple witnesses to this ridiculous situation. I humbly feel sorry for this company and it sounds like I’m not the only one in the community. We have all strived to support you and support their company and all and every single local business, but this is beyond me. I felt met with such hostility that I needed to let others in our community know. I hope that they choose to change their behavior and the quantity and quality of their food

Sweet or savory! This place has what you’re craving. I was overwhelmed with all the options they had but Jennifer was so helpful and recommended the ground beef and banana Nutella empanadas! Loved them so much and loved how friendly she was!

Love these empanadas, are they a tad pricey sure, but what isn’t these days, overall I didn’t think it was too bad, but you’ll need more than 2 to get full, just keeping it 100%. The manager/employee was super cool and accommodating, would surely come back here anytime!

I just paid $10 for a $2 walmart pizza pocket. The crust was unimpressive, the filling was like a pizza pocket; I asked for salsa and they charge .50 for each ounce. Yeah, it’s Silverthorne in the summer but damn.

So much fun to walk around to see and smell all of the wonderful options of food and beverages in the market. I’ve only tried a few of the vendors here but the empanadas are to die for from Lazo Empanadas.

This is an ok place. Portions are small, so make sure you order more than 1 empanada. The service is professional.
Prices are on the high side, but in Colorado you won’t really find places to eat that are budget friendly. Atmosphere is decent.
