Soft-serve ice cream & signature shakes top the menu at this classic burger & fries fast-food chain.

I ordered a blizzard. It was very subpar. They didn’t tip it for me, which was understandable after I drove off. It was extremely melted. I was really looking forward to more of a solid ice cream treat. Very disappointed. Regretting not going back and addressing it. I don’t like to complain about stuff like this, but I’m a paying customer. Super bummed. I didn’t take any pics..and I told her I didn’t need a receipt. Lol so that’s on me..so check your ice cream before leaving!!

Pretty good food & ice cream is terrific. $5.79 for a medium hot fudge sundae & over $7 for a medium blizzard. Very pricey & you don’t even get whipped cream or nuts.

Dairy Queen – Southern Highlands: My Go-To for Smiles, Snacks, and Sweet Deals
This DQ is hands-down my favorite. The customer service? Always top-tier. The team here is friendly, fast, and genuinely kind—like they actually enjoy making your day better (and your Blizzard thicker).
Whether I’m swinging by for a quick burger, a crispy chicken strip basket, or just giving in to my soft-serve cravings, they never miss. The food is hot, fresh, and exactly what you want when you need a comfort fix. And the treats? Let’s just say the Oreo Blizzard has healing properties.
They’ve also got great deals that make it easy to treat the whole crew without breaking the bank. And even when there’s a line, they move with purpose and keep the good vibes flowing.
It’s the kind of place that feels like a neighborhood staple—reliable, cheerful, and always worth the stop. If you’re in Southern Highlands and haven’t been yet, go. If you have? You already know. This DQ is the real deal.

First time try DQ thanks to its Deals and offer through app.
Madonna specifically was courteous and very patient with me. Cheers to her and everyone working at this location. Will come back

Abysmally small chicken strips. They loaded four of these bad boys into my chicken strip basket meal and called it a day. A double whammy when you factor in how much they are charging for these underdeveloped chicken strips. Let’s not waste each other’s time.

OMG! This place blew me away! First time eating here and I don’t regret it. The french fries were fresh, crisp, and perfectly salted. The burger was hot, tender, and had great flavor. The chicken strips were the star of the show, REAL MEAT, crispy, tender, moist, extremely well seasoned. Ending it with a chocolate sundae, which was velvet smooth, rich, and creamy.

I seem to be on a kick for cheese curds as of late. They have always been one of my favorite snacks, but lately I’ve been finding myself trying new options at various places to see how they stand up to each other. Trying options I’ve never considered before such as fast food. Before this the only fast food name I’d ever consider was A&W. There’s a wonderful location in Boulder City, for example. But I’ll save that review for another day. For now, we have Dairy Queen. Honestly, I never knew until today that they even had this on the menu. I’ll give it to him, they’re not bad at all. I still prefer A&W, but these are a close enough second I guess. One of the best options in town is the Blue Ox Tavern, but it would be difficult and unfair to compare this to that. So for now, I will give DQ second place for fast food cheese curds. The texture is well enough, the cheese tastes well enough. They were perfectly warm and the amount was pretty decent as well. I guess I have to continue trying new options and adding new reviews as I go. Any recommendations for a non-fast food cheese courage around town would be wonderful. I’ll do my best to try them all .

We have supported this Dairy Queen location from the very first year they opened. We also will visit other Dairy Queen locations, and what is sad is this location charges $7.59 for a Large Blizzard, and they do not even use Blizzard lids- they use soda cup lids. This shortens the amount they give you by a SUBSTANTIAL AMOUNT; roughly by 25-30% of the blizzard, I would say. Other Dairy Queen locations I have been to only charge $5.59 for a Large Blizzard and they fill it all the way to the top of the Blizzard lid, which is the way the blizzard should be provided. DO NOT COME HERE, unless you are wanting to be overcharged for less than what you are paying for.

Terrible drive-thru experience. When taking my order, I had to repeat myself multiple times because the employee wasn’t paying attention and clearly had no interest in doing so. I ordered two Blizzards, and when I politely asked which was which, she said, “You can look at them and try to guess,” with total apathy and zero regard for the customer.
Inside, staff were playing around and carrying on instead of focusing on their jobs. The overall attitude felt intentionally rude and confrontational, like they simply didn’t care. I rarely leave negative reviews, but this level of unprofessionalism was too blatant to ignore.
Even more troubling, the employee’s attitude was so apathetic and antagonistic that it genuinely made me question potential food safety issues that could be intentional or unintentional. When staff show this level of disregard for basic service, it’s hard to trust that food safety is being taken seriously. Management needs to take this seriously and intervene quickly.
