We loved this place. The Italian paella was delicious, and the pork chop special was super tender and flavorful. The staff was very attentive, and the atmosphere was perfect for a relaxed dinner. We’ll definitely be back!

I’ve been to this place a couple times and it was always just ok. I’ve kept coming back because finding good Italian food near Georgetown has been a challenge, but my experience last night was absolutely awful.

First issue occurred when I ordered a Ginger Ale – soda was completely flat and tasted disgusting, almost soapy. For dinner I asked the waitress for recommendations and we landed on the Italian Paella. What a HORRIBLE mistake that was. Shrimp was ok, but the mussels did not taste fresh at all and trying to chew the calamari felt like trying to chew through a dry tire. Overall taste was lackluster at best and after having 2-3 bites, I stopped eating.

When I asked for the bill, I noticed they took off the soda but the $30 plate of “paella” was still on the bill. I asked if it could be removed and I was met with a stern “no”. Evening had already been ruined by the awful food and I am not one to make a scene. Out of respect for my girlfriend, the staff and other patrons, I simply paid the $100 bill and left.

Absolutely will never be coming back to this place and I would tell anyone else to stay away from this “Italian” restaurant. Do yourself a favor and go to ARTIPASTA in Austin for actual good, authentic and DELICIOUS Italian food.

We went last night for Valentine’s Day dinner. The food tasted fresh and very delicious. I had the butternut squash ravioli and it was so good. Our waitress was amazing as well. I will definitely go back!

The pork pt roast was the chef’s special that night and the portion was huge. I really enjoyed it. Ghee meat was tender and the redwine jus was very nice. The service was great. Very attentive and friendly. We liked the tiramisu with the hint of coffee. Some people might find it too moist, but that’s very authentic. Someone was complaining in another review about the salad. Well, it’s a small side salad, nothing fancy. But I wasn’t coming for the salad and the lasagne and bruschetta were also good. The atmosphere isn’t very cozy, but the glass front with our brutal Texas sun makes it hard to create a more welcoming entrance. They had some other really nice looking specials like the lobster ravioli and we’re coming back to dig a little deeper into their menu.

Pizza is kid approved! So is the Chicken Fettuccine Alfredo, and spaghetti with meatballs. And where else can you get an orange sanpellegrino? It’s nice to find a real Italian restaurant, with such a sweet atmosphere.

Update Dec 2024: Still my favorite pizza. The center is a bit wet. I always meant to ask after eating here as long as they have been in Georgetown. Last week I searched online while eating and boom, traditional pizza is moist in the middle. Who would have known? The chef of course. Delicious. Also had the snapper special and it was cooked perfectly with a light sauce. The family that owns this place are friendly and take pride in their product. Georgetown gem.

Visited in person Jan 2021. Same nice place, same nice people. Delicious iced tea !

Update 2020: We really appreciated the curb side service during the corona-virus lock down.

Amazing local restaurant, great chef, nice service. They will do some customization if asked. Chef John is very talented and friendly. This is one of our top two restaurants in Georgetown. Family run, family fun.

Our favorite local Italian restaurant. We used to frequent the Round Rock location and became big fans. I think this is the same chef. Very good quality and not at all like the generic Italian chain flavors. The butternut squash ravioli is my personal favorite. Always great service.

Save your money. Go to Olive Garden.
I usually bite my tongue but this was unbelievably terrible. The portion sizes are laughable for the price that they charge. The salad was minuscule and the “trio” for $16.00 was a watery mess of what looked like lasagna.
Bottled sodas only.
The atmosphere is lackluster.
The only saving grace were the two pieces of bread with packaged butter that we ate
Manager was not available and the guy who served us did not speak English.

I had seen this place a couple times and finally got the chance to go. In all honesty, the disappointment we experienced was unfortunate. I’m a huge pasta fan and the only thing enjoyable here was the bread. It had a hint of garlic and I could have eaten more than a couple rolls. The salad wasn’t fresh, and looked like something I would have made at home – however I would have enjoyed a house salad from home more than what I had here. The portion was scarce and it only had tomatoes and cucumbers. The worst part about my experience was the Chicken Bianca. The chicken was not fresh and comparable to Tyson frozen precooked. I could not eat the chicken and therefore didn’t eat my entree. This place seemed to have an authentic, homemade vibe/appearance however I don’t feel like anything was made in house. Very, very small portions for the price. It took over ten minutes for anyone to greet us and overall just a very unfortunate experience.

Gino, our waiter, did a fantastic job! From recommending the perfect wine pairing, to the exquisite entrees. He was friendly and engaging. My wife is Italian and sets high standards for the restaurants we visit. We started with the Eggplant Rollatini starter (delicious!) followed by a nice side salad with vinegarette and my Fettuccine Ragu which was a hearty portion, hot, and loaded with flavor. My wife tried the pepperoni and sausage pizza which was wonderful. Great atmosphere, clean, and friendly service. Our first time here, but we will absolutely return. Highly recommend!
