Can’t believe it’s taken me this long to leave a review! Bennett’s has the best subs in Portsmouth—hands down. I’ve been ordering from them for years, and they’ve never disappointed. Even during the busiest lunch hour, I can grab a phenomenal sub without missing a beat. I’m totally hooked on their Barnyard Steak and Cheese—it’s unreal. This is actually the first time I even got a photo before devouring it! Keep up the amazing work, you guys absolutely rock!

I recently visited Bennett’s Sandwich Shop and wanted to share a bit of feedback: Overall, the food was decent, but we encountered a few hiccups in the process. We initially tried to place an order online, but it didn’t go through, so we had to call the store directly. That was a bit inconvenient and not what we expected.
When we arrived to pick up our order, there was some confusion and we ended up receiving someone else’s order because they had the same name. We had to go back inside to sort it out, and the staff seemed a bit disorganized. Eventually, we got the correct food. The sandwiches and coffee were okay—not extraordinary, but decent enough.
One last note: there were no napkins included, which was a bit inconvenient for a takeout order. I probably should have asked but forgot. Overall, it’s a decent place and would recommend.

We were in town for a wedding and stumbled upon Bennett’s Sandwich Shop while out and about. I’m so glad we did because the sandwiches were delicious and the atmosphere/vibe was very pleasant. It was such a lovely sandwich shop! I would definitely recommend it!

I have been a longtime customer of Bennett’s even before I lived in Portsmouth. We’ve always had good service and great subs. Their breakfast subs and sandwiches are great in addition to their regular hot/cold subs. I have tried a variety of things on their menu and everything I’ve had was delicious.

The woman behind the counter is nice but the cook seems to not care about allergies. To many times I’ve said there is a pickle allergy and not to put pickles on it and they still do even when the slip says no pickles. 4 times I’ve had to toss the food and wasted to much money for a cook not to care

Best steak and cheese in the area. Bread is always soft and fresh. Service is friendly. Cooks are efficient and I’ve never had a sandwich not come the way I ordered it. Add the house hot sauce to really elevate that sandwich experience! A small at this place is the same size as a large at every other sandwich shop in town.

The person working was extremely pleasant and even patient with me and my daughter as we made our decision. I got the lobster roll which was very good, generously proportioned. My daughter (who is a very picky eater) said her sandwich was better than any she has had at any other sandwich shop she had been to. Apparently the bread is incredibly soft. Overall a nice experience for a quick bite
