We had a friend tell us about the great food at this little cafe. It’s a local favorite from what I understand and I can see why. We drove two hours to try it for ourselves. I cannot tell you how impressed we were with the hospitality of the waitresses and the amazing dishes. We felt we were very welcomed and it was cozy and impeccably clean. The drive is worth it if you just want to get out and see the sites around the area too. We will definitely drop back through here on occasion. We certainly don’t live close but it’s a must return if nothing else for the finger steaks (we came back through on our way home to pick up a to go order of finger steak meals for supper later…they were that good!)

We came here on a Sunday morning for brunch. We got the finger steaks basket, the biscuits and gravy, and the chicken sandwich basket. The finger steaks weren’t very flavorful. The breading didn’t have a lot of flavor to it, which was disappointing. The chicken sandwich basket was fine and the biscuits and gravy was good.

A nice place for breakfast or lunch, closed for dinner. Good menu, covers the basics, typical small diner fare. Friendly unhurried servers. Nothing fancy or unexpected. The food is cooked correctly, for example, over medium eggs are that, not the runny barely warm type often served up in such places. Food only got 3 stars because the menu is so pedestrian, but what is served is almost always pleasant to see and eat. Seldom crowded, but also seldom empty. The gravy on the biscuits and gravy is nice and peppery.

One very friendly cafe. We (6 of us) ate breakfast here before we hit the road back to Oregon. Our waitress Norma was awesome and made us all feel special!

So it’s the 1st time coming back after the remodel. Prices are insane compared to any other restaurant. No oatmeal, really? How does a “breakfast” spot have no oatmeal. Menu is so hard to read with all the fancy graphics and not many choices either. So sad that they went downhill instead of improving it. Won’t come again. I’d rather drive to twin for better food. $15 for an omelet! ‍♂️ Look at this small piece of ham I got ‍♂️

I like the food in the restaurant and the convenience of the store. They stock and sell stuff a traveler may want to buy or eat. My favorite is their basic burger & fries with a side of two scrambled eggs added to the bun by the cook. They scramble them but in such a way that it stays on the burger bite after bite. You have to tell them you want the eggs on the burger, but they have made it this way for me many times. They have good omelets, big homemade cinnamon rolls, and of course Biscuits & Gravy. The fries are special but different. I have in the past just ordered fries and a bowl of gravy.
I like plain black coffee and they have plenty of that.

Went there to eat as I used to love them before they closed. Prices now are completely insane. I ordered a grilled chicken salad with ranch for a menu price of $11.25 when it came it was maybe twice the size of a side salad you get with a meal anywhere. When it arrived the lettuce was brown wilted and old. The food now is no where near worth the price you will pay for it. Will never return.
