We ordered some items off of the a la cart menu for dinner. Absolutely disgusting! Nothing but grease floating on top. The tamales were gross. I feel sure we didn’t even get what was ordered because it wasn’t even on the receipt. I would not recommend this place to anyone.

Great family owned business and has been in BR since I was a kid. Food is consistently great, and the owner is always greeting and interacting with customers. I love the tamales with chili as well as the number one combination plate, which is 2 cheese enchiladas and 3 tamales. It is located on airline highway, just past academy sports. Parking is a bit of a nightmare, so go early because they are consistently busy.

Jonathan, our server was friendly and greeted us as soon as we walked in. I know that’s the way it should be, but sadly you don’t see a lot of that these days. He said we could sit wherever, which we did. He was very helpful, knowledgeable, and patient in helping us place our order. The only improvement I would recommend is maybe start prebussing? There was a lot of clutter piled up at our table at one point. I kept pushing it to the side, hoping he’d notice right up til the end. Still, 4 stars isn’t bad, right?

Terrible. My mom and a family friend went here to eat and got racially profiled. The food isn’t authentic and it’s very much is white washed version of REAL Mexican food. I do not recommend coming here at all unless you want to asked if you have a LOUISIANA ID to buy alcohol. Crazy how people think this is acceptable.

My first visit to this little gem; won’t be my last…Newer to BR and LA, and always excited to happen upon a great new to me spot… The Margarita was spot on. The flavor of the food, richness and spices, was top notch… Food was so fresh to my taste buds, didn’t taste like a quick microwave heat up. Service was fabulous. I say, GO TRY IT IMMEDIATELY!!!!

A small quaint restaurant with everything you would typically expect from a standard Mexican restaurant with the inclusions of some unique takes on enchiladas, burritos, ect. It made the experience excited to try. All the food was very much enjoyable

Don’t let the location or exterior fool you. Food/Service is great! One of the few restaurants that serves real deep fried chimichangas.

I’ve never had worse “Mexican” food. The fajitas have never seen cumin or chili powder. The enchiladas were basically cheese slices melted into tortillas. The food tasted nothing like Mexican food. Not all hole in the walls are gems, just keep driving

I came in hungry and enjoyed the Toluca meal. The plate was amazingly hot but not too much to eat. I never experienced a cold bite.
I was full and bloated from the ample delicious serving of cheese enchiladas, rice, beans and taco
