It was my boyfriend and I’s first time and we will definitely be back. The atmosphere and energy were immediately welcoming. We ordered spicy California roll, sweet potato roll, veg hibachi, and chicken and steak hibachi. We also had the soup and salad appetizers. Everything was delicious. We left full and satisfied. The server was attentive and overall pleasant. Lastly the price was reasonable.

This is our go-to for sushi in madison. Their bento plates are also great. Good eel. Good miso soup. Love the jalapeno popper with fish appetizer, I think it’s called the bullet. The plum wine is absolutely delightful. We’ve tried different rolls and we’ve never been dissappointed. Highly recommended.

I’m in awe!! can’t believe I have not been here sooner – BEST SUSHI IN MADISON without a doubt and the family that runs it is so sweet! 10/10 highly recommend (rolls we loved: monster, volcano, godzilla, lucky 7, eel avocado). There wasn’t a single roll we ordered that we thought was meh and we went pretty late and the quality of the fish was so fresh still.

What a fantastic place! 1st time there and everything was wonderful. Great service – very friendly. The upstairs space is lovely. Food is delicious with great recommendations from our server. I’ll be back to try other things on the menu! And – comp cheesecake for a birthday celebration. Thank you for a great evening!

I love this place. We go quite often when craving sushi. I love that its a small, locally-owned establishment. The sushi itself has always been great, and I’d compare the quality to those much higher-priced options downtown. The vibe isn’t as loungey as the others, but rather a quiet and comfortable restaurant. They do seem to be short-staffed so waits can happen, but they try to make up for it where they can and it’s well worth it.

This may be my favorite sushi spot in all of Madison. The building is a renovated house which has such a cozy ambiance. The staff are SUPER welcoming and provide excellent service, and the sushi is very VERY good for very reasonable prices. We ate the Godzilla, Volcano, Spicy Tuna, Philly, and Alaskan rolls, and the spicy tuna was some of the best I’ve ever had. It was so flavorful and finished with just the right amount of heat. The volcano roll was also an excellent choice. I’d recommend this restaurant to anyone in the Madison area looking for good sushi. A+++!!!!

BEST sushi in Madison to date. It’s comparable to San Francisco Bay’s better establishments, and quite reasonable on price regardless of location. We’ll be coming back regularly as we visit.
It’s amazing how much high quality sushi this establishment can pump out during prime time last night. Make reservations to avoid the lines. Once you’re on the books, it’s relatively easy to call and adjust your arrival time, as for us. Hot foods come out piping hot the way they should be. Only hiccup was that sushi arrived before the Miso Soup, but didn’t object because of how busy it was. 4.8 Stars
