Rancho Steak House

I celebrated my birthday at this steakhouse, and it was an unforgettable experience! And it was even my first time in Poole city. The Tomahawk steak was the star of the show – it was cooked to absolute perfection, with a rich, buttery flavor that was out of this world. Seriously, the best steak I’ve ever had! But it didn’t stop there; the side dishes were equally amazing. The chips were perfectly crispy, the salad was fresh and vibrant, and the mac n cheese was creamy and decadent just the way I like it. Seriously, every bite was pure bliss! Plus, the portions were so generous that the Tomahawk and sides were easily more than enough for two people! The customer service was also top-notch, making my birthday feel extra special. The staff was attentive and friendly, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere. If you want an exceptional meal with incredible food and service, this is the place to go. Highly recommended!

Popped in, before a theatre show.
They had a good offer on a 3 course Christmas menu, so we went for that.
Food and service was excellent.
Once we said we had limited time, they helpfully sped up the setvice and brought the final bill promptly.
Would recommend.

Amazing food really tasty, steak cooked perfectly, drinks were good! Staff were a bit quiet but friendly, they could have recommended something?
atmosphere was a bit quiet, but could be due to the time that we went, 6 pm.

The best restaurant in Dorset, the best steak, the best ribs, the best staff.

This was another great experience at ranchos. Attentive happy staff, a dj, a magician. And fantastic food. A hidden gem. Its a must visit.

If you haven’t been yet I would say why, this is a fantastic place.

Go, go now. I promise you wont taste better food than this

Had a lovely birthday meal. Service was quick friendly and knowledgeable about the items on the menu. Food was amazing and I had standard mixed grill and the steaks were cooked perfectly and tender. I was treated to a billionaire shortbread for my birthday by the lovely ladies who also sang to me a perfect rendition of Happy Birthday, thank you. Good value and will return in the future to try the Spanish rice.

Wow! So we have been coming to Ranchos steak house now for many years but for the last 12 months we have given it a miss, mainly because the food quality had dropped off and the portions and service had gone downhill and the place just didn’t appeal to us anymore. We found ourselves visiting the neighbouring Steak House more often in recent times. Today however, we revisited Rancho because the neighbouring steakhouse was shut on a Monday something we did not know. I am flabbergasted as to how good the food has been this evening, in fact the entire experience has been reminiscent of back in the day, If not better. The wife and I have had the most excellent food, plentiful, tasty, extremely good quality. Started with the nachos, and the portion has increased compared to earlier days, both from the sauce portions and from the portion of the nachos itself as we were able to share it between us with ease. As for the meals, the Wife went for fillet steak and I chose the trio of meats, both of which were presented perfectly, and I have never seen a meal with so much herbal sauce on it. She loved it! The presentation was so nice that they took the time to put flags in my meat to point out which cut of meat I was eating and the attention to detail was great to see. I’ve never seen this in the industry before and I really must admit I really enjoyed the meal. I have to say after so long not visiting this restaurant they have won back our custom. Really like the menu here. Great selection of cuts and flavours. I normally have the trio with a few sides (french beans with spicy seasoning are delicious). It’s always been properly cooked and tasty. Staff are really nice. Great views from the window tables. Reasonable prices. Plenty of parking nearby.

Booked a table for 4:30 through the website. Made email contact with them as I have food a food allergy and they couldn’t of been more accomadating. When we arrived it was closes but someone opened up as soon as they saw us. He mentioned that they don’t open until 5pm but the website had given 4:30 as a booking slot. He let us in and explained that we would have to wait 5 minutes for the staff to arrive. No problem for us.
Food was lovely. Kids meal very big and lovely to see proper meat available for them.
Gluten free burger was delicious and the waitress was lovely. We will definitely be back and hope Alex the Lion is there aswell.
